The Morris Island Lighthouse is a lighthouse on Morris Island in South Carolina. The light stands on the southern side of the entrance to Charleston Harbor, north of the City of Folly Beach. At 161 ft, it is the tallest lighthouse in South Carolina. The lighthouse was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
Charleston Light, also known as Sullivan's Island Lighthouse, is located on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, which is the northern entrance to Charleston Harbor. The lighthouse was erected to replace the defunct Morris Island Light on Morris Island, which was at risk of being destroyed by erosion, but remains standing and was stabilized in 2010. Construction was started in 1960, and it was first lit on June 15, 1962.
Darlington Industrial Historic District is a national historic district located at Darlington, Darlington County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 12 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure in an industrial section of Darlington. They were built between about 1890 and 1925. All of these buildings are located along the rights-of-way of the South Carolina Western Railway and the Charleston, Sumter and Northern Railroad since the industries each of these buildings served employed the services of the railroad. Among the prominent resources in the district are the Charleston, Sumter and Northern Railway Freight Station (1891), the Darlington Roller Mill (1899), Thomas and Howard Tobacco Warehouse ; and Price's Tobacco Warehouse, and a cotton warehouse.
Charleston Navy Yard Officers' Quarters Historic District is a national historic district located at the former Charleston Naval Shipyard in North Charleston, South Carolina. It encompasses 24 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, 1 contributing structure, and 1 contributing object. The site represents development of the upper echelon of senior military housing, support structures, sports facilities and recreational landscape features from 1901 through 1945. The buildings reflect late Victorian and early-20th century eclectic designs including the Italianate, Neo-Classical, Italian Renaissance Revival, Colonial Revival, and the Works Progress Administration (WPA) designed Panama House style.

Battery Gadsden is a historic artillery battery located at Sullivan's Island, Charleston County, South Carolina. It was built in 1903–1904, and is one of a series of batteries stretching from Fort Moultrie to the eastern end of Sullivan's Island. It was named after Christopher Gadsden. Until decommissioned in 1917, the concrete battery housed four, six inch guns. It measures approximately 377 feet long and 84 feet wide, with the front or ocean side of the battery at approximately 7 feet high. Battery Gadsden and its neighbor Battery Thomson provided fortification at the mouth of Charleston Harbor. The battery now houses the Edgar Allan Poe Branch of the Charleston County Public Library.

It was built in 1906–1909, and is one of a series of batteries stretching from Fort Moultrie to the eastern end of Sullivan's Island. Until decommissioned in 1947, the concrete battery housed two, ten inch guns. It measures approximately 326 feet long and 84 feet wide, with the front or ocean side of the battery at approximately 10 feet high. Battery Thomson and its neighbor Battery Gadsden provided fortification at the mouth of Charleston Harbor.
Moving Star Hall is a historic community building located at Johns Island, Charleston County, South Carolina. It was built about 1917, and is a crudely built, one-story, rectangular, frame, weatherboarded building. It has a low concrete block pillar foundation and a metal-covered gable roof. Also on the property is a contributing outhouse. The building was used by the local African-American population as a "praise house" and meeting place of the Moving Star Young Association, a religious, social, fraternal, and charitable community institution.
Dr. John B. Patrick House also known as the Patrick-Bherman-Smith House and Moultrieville Brothel, is a historic home located at Sullivan's Island, Charleston County, South Carolina. The house was built about 1870, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, symmetrical frame residence with a two-tiered, integral wraparound piazza. It features an expansive hipped roof with dormers and stairs that lead to the second tier of the piazza. A small rectangular frame structure, built about 1920 as a general store, is located on the property.

The district encompasses 11 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 1 contributing structure. They include two early-20th century residences: a one-story, frame house constructed about 1903, with characteristic Neo-Classical and Bungalow features; and a two-story, rectangular frame house constructed in 1930, with characteristic Colonial Revival and Italian Renaissance features. Associated with the houses are a variety of contributing utility outbuildings.

The district encompasses 36 contributing buildings on Sullivan's Island. They predominantly include the core residential and administrative areas of Fort Moultrie built between about 1870 to 1950. Notable buildings include the Base Commander's Quarters, nine Senior Officers' Quarters, ten Junior Officers' Quarters, the Bachelor Officers' Quarters, the Administration Building, the Post Exchange and Gymnasium, and the Electrical Shop.
U.S. Coast Guard Historic District is a national historic district located at Sullivan's Island, Charleston County, South Carolina. The district encompasses three contributing buildings and one contributing structure on Sullivan's Island. The property was established as a life saving station in 1891. The district contains the station house/administration building, boathouse, garage, and signal tower, which are laid out in an "L"-shaped court loosely organized around the bunker/sighting station. Also on the property is the non-contributing Charleston Light.
Secessionville Historic District is a national historic district located near Folly Beach, Charleston County, South Carolina. It extends into the city of Charleston, South Carolina. The district encompasses six contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing site in Secessionville. The district includes the summer homes of several leading James Island planters, the site of the American Civil War Battle of Secessionville, the unmarked grave of over 300 Union soldiers, and the remains of Fort Lamar, constructed about 1862.
