Attraction are a Hungarian shadow theatre group. They rose to fame during a performance at the Hungary Olympic Oath Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics, [1] in which they did a rendition of many of the traditional sports within the five rings of the Olympic games logo. Less than a year later, they won the seventh series of Britain's Got Talent on 8 June 2013, beating Jack Carroll.

2012 Summer Olympics Games of the XXX Olympiad, held in London in 2012

The 2012 Summer Olympics, formally the Games of the XXX Olympiad and commonly known as London 2012, was an international multi-sport event that was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012 in London, United Kingdom. The first event, the group stage in women's football, began on 25 July at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, followed by the opening ceremonies on 27 July. 10,768 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated.

Olympic symbols Symbols of the International Olympic Games

The Olympic symbols are icons, flags, and symbols used by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to elevate the Olympic Games. Some—such as the flame, fanfare, and theme—are more commonly used during Olympic competition, but others, such as the flags, can be seen throughout the years. The Olympic flag was created under the guidance of Baron de Coubertin in 1913 and was released in 1914. It was first hoisted in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium at the 1920 Summer Olympics in the main stadium. The five rings represent the five continents of the world.

Series Seven of Britain's Got Talent, a British talent competition series, began broadcasting in the UK during 2013, from 13 April to 8 June on ITV; because of England's international friendly with the Republic of Ireland that year, the show took a break on 29 May to avoid clashing with live coverage of the match. Filming of the Judges' auditions was pushed back, so as to not conflict with the filming schedule that year of Stephen Mulhern, host of Britain's Got More Talent, while Simon Cowell was unable to attend a day of auditions due to illness. Other than these events, no changes, permanent or temporary, were made to the hosts and the judges for this series. However, the cash prize was reduced to £250,000, following the last series. The series is mainly notable for being the first one to be won by a foreign act, and for an incident that occurred during a performance by a finalist, in which an individual stormed the stage and pelted Cowell with eggs.

The word's use in English to refer to sustained applause dates from at least 1831.

For their semi-final performance, Attraction depicted a mother giving birth to her son, the son going off to college, getting married, and eventually the mother dies in her son's arms. At the end, the son's wife reveals that she is pregnant. The story was based on Szűcs' life story, who dedicated the performance to his late mother. [2] They got high praise from the judges, with Holden stating that she even saw Simon Cowell shed a tear. They got first place on the 5th semi final vote sending them straight to the finals.

They were announced the winners and became the first and currently only foreign act to win Britain's Got Talent and the third group act to win.
