Auvil is an unincorporated community in Tucker County, West Virginia, United States. Auvil is located northwest of St. George on the west bank of the Cheat River. Auvil lies along West Virginia Route 72. According to the Geographic Names Information System, the community has also been known as Auviltown.

The community is where Whitoak Fork and Blue Creek come together and meet. Belva is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in west Nicholas County and north Fayette County, West Virginia, United States; while the CDP only includes the Nicholas County portion, the Fayette County portion is considered part of the community.
