Badminton Scotland is the governing body for the sport of badminton in Scotland. It aims to govern, encourage and develop the sport for all throughout the country. Established in 1911 as the Scottish Badminton Union, it is affiliated to the Badminton World Federation and the Badminton Europe.
Badminton Scotland organizes the annual Scottish Open, which has been held since 1907. Following table lists the presidents who have served in the organization since 1911. [2]

Pullela Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. Currently, he is the Chief National Coach for the India national badminton team. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001, becoming the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. He runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy. He received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan – India's third highest civilian award – in 2014.
The Sudirman Cup is an international badminton mixed team competition contested by member countries of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every two years since the inaugural tournament in 1989. It used to be held at the same venue for the World Championships in the same year until the International Badminton Federation decided to split the two tournaments starting from 2003. There are five matches in every Sudirman Cup tie which consists of men and women's singles, men and women's doubles and mixed doubles. The cup is named after Dick Sudirman, a former Indonesian badminton player and the founder of the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI). The current champion is China, which won its 13th title at the 2023 tournament in China.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations. In 1981 the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation (BWF).
The Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships was born at a meeting of Commonwealth delegates in Munich at the 1969 World Championships. Prior to inclusion in the Commonwealth Games proper in 2002, 15 Commonwealth Championships have taken place since 1971.

The National Badminton Federation of Russia (NBFR) is the governing body for the sport of badminton in Russia. Based in Moscow, the NBFR has been a member since 1992 of Badminton Europe, the regional organization for the Badminton World Federation. The organization was established as one of the successors to CIS Badminton (1991-1992) and USSR Badminton Federation (1962-1991) after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The NFBR became the sole administrator for the Russia national badminton team when the Russian Badminton Federation (RBF) was dissolved by the Russian Olympic Committee in 2005.
Imogen Bankier is a businesswoman and former badminton player from Scotland. After starting playing the sport at the age of 9, Bankier won the national championships at every age level from Under 17 upwards. The highlight of her professional career was reaching the final of the mixed doubles at the 2011 World Championships in Wembley, London. She and her partner Chris Adcock were defeated in the match by the Chinese team of Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei.
Lee So-hee is a South Korean badminton player. She won the women's doubles title at the 2017 All England Open tournament. She also helped the Korean national team to win the world team championships at the 2017 Sudirman Cup. She reached a career high of world no. 2 in the women's doubles in November 2017 partnered with Chang Ye-na. For her achievements in 2017, Lee who affiliated with the Incheon International Airport team, was awarded as the best player of the year by the Badminton Korea Association.
Adam Hall is a Scottish badminton player. He was the bronze medalist at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event with his partner Alexander Dunn. He competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
Anders Antonsen is a Danish badminton player. He won the gold medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys singles event, and at the same year was awarded the European Young Player of the Year. Together with the national team, he won the European Men's Team Championships in 2016 and 2018; also European Mixed Team Championships in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023. Antonsen was the champion at the 2019 Minsk European Games, 2021 European Championships, the silver medalist at the 2017 European Championships, and the 2019 World Championships, and the bronze medalist at the 2021 World Championships.
Mia Blichfeldt is a Danish badminton player. She won the gold medals at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the girls' singles event, and later at the 2019 Minsk European Games in the women's singles event.
Tanisha Crasto is an Indian badminton player who was born in the United Arab Emirates. While formerly representing Bahrain, she won the women's doubles event at the 2016 Bahrain International Challenge partnered with Aprilsasi Putri Lejarsar Variella. In 2017, when she was 14 years old, she created history by winning the Indian Club UAE Open tournament in the women's singles event after beating Negin Amiripour of Iran. She was also part of the Prime Star Sports Academy club that won the Shuttle Time Dubai Club Badminton Championship.
Badminton Association of Thailand, officially known as Badminton Association of Thailand Under Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King is the national governing body for the sport of badminton in Thailand. As of January 2019, there are 52 affiliated clubs and 304 associate member clubs across the country.
German Badminton Association is the national governing body for the sport of badminton in Germany. The association consists of state badminton associations from 16 states of Germany.
Badminton Korea Association is the national governing body for the sport of badminton in South Korea.
Lyndon John Williams is a former Welsh badminton player, coach, and currently involved in disability badminton. He won the boys' doubles title at the European Junior Champions in 1983 and the men's doubles bronze medallist at the European Championships in 1988.
