Bailiff Bridge railway station was built by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway to serve the village of Bailiff Bridge north of Brighouse in West Yorkshire, England.

History

Opened by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, the station was then closed during the First World War as an economy measure. The route continued in use until mining subsidence caused the closure of the line in 1952. [1] [2]

Maudland Bridge railway station

Maudland Bridge railway station was once the Preston terminus of the Longridge Branch Line, in Lancashire, England. It was located on Maudland Road, between a bridge over the Lancaster Canal and Cold Bath Street. The Maudlands district of Preston gets its name from the medieval St. Mary Magdalen's leper hospital, which once stood near the present-day St Walburge's Church.

Portsmouth railway station was on the Copy Pit line and served the village of Portsmouth, which was part of Lancashire, before being incorporated into the West Riding of Yorkshire in the late 1880s. Few traces of the station remain, although the line itself remains in use for passenger trains between Burnley and Hebden Bridge or Todmorden.

The Lancashire and Yorkshire railway was absorbed by the London and North Western Railway on 1 January 1922, which became one of the constituents of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway on grouping in 1923. The latter company closed the station to passengers on 8 July 1929 and British Railways ceased goods traffic in 1958 after which the line was dismantled.

Radcliffe Bridge railway station was a Railway Station in Radcliffe built on the Manchester, Bury and Rossendale Railway line, between Bury and Clifton, both in Greater Manchester. It was opened on 25 September 1846, and was closed 7 July 1958.

Newsholme is a small village and civil parish in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, England, but lies within the historic West Riding of Yorkshire. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 50, however the United Kingdom Census 2011 grouped the parish with Horton and Paythorne, giving a total of 253. Today it lies near the boundary with North Yorkshire on the A682, 4 miles (6 km) north of Barnoldswick and 12 miles (19 km) west of Skipton.

Bowling railway station is a closed station in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. It was on the line connecting the Bradford Exchange - Low Moor line of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway with the line of the Great Northern Railway (GNR) at Laisterdyke. It was opened by the GNR on 1 August 1854 and closed to passengers on 1 February 1895. The line remained open to freight until 4 May 1964. No trace remains of the station which was located northeast of the bridge crossing Wakefield Road.
