Bartosz Piasecki (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈbartɔʂpjaˈsɛt͡skʲi] ; born 9 December 1986) is a Norwegian fencer.
Piasecki was born in Tczew in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland but moved to Norway with his family when he was two years old. His father, Mariusz Piasecki is a fencing champion and coach [1] [2] [3] who won 12 medals at the Polish Championships, and represented Poland at international competitions in the epee. [4] Bartosz Piasecki holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Oslo [5]
He won the silver medal in the men's individual épée at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. [6] [7] Piasecki lives in Bestum in Oslo and competes for Bygdø Fekteklubb. A right-hand fencer, Piasecki is coached by his father, Mariusz Piasecki, [8] [9] and works as a math teacher at the elite sports program at Wang Secondary School in Oslo. [10]
Bartosz Piasecki earned a bronze medal during the U23 European Fencing Championship in Debrecen in 2009. In June 2012 he ended with a 16th position at the 2012 World Championship in Italy. [11]
Piasecki's silver medal at the Olympics is Norway's best achievement in this discipline in history. The second best was an 11th place at the 1984 games by Nils Koppang.

He also represented the US in the 2012 Olympics in London. Thompson won a gold medal and world championship in the team épée event at the 2012 World Fencing Championships. Norway competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's twenty-fourth appearance at the Summer Olympics; Norway did not take part in the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis and the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, due to the country's support for the United States boycott. The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports sent a total of 66 athletes to the Games, 34 men and 32 women, to compete in 14 sports. Women's handball was the only team-based sport in which Norway was represented in these Olympic games. There was only a single competitor in badminton, mountain biking, diving, equestrian dressage, fencing and wrestling.

Sergey Olegovich Bida is a Russian left-handed épée fencer. He was ranked #1 in the world in 2019 and 2020. He is a three-time European épée team champion, and 2021 Olympic épée team silver medalist. He moved to the United States in June 2023, along with his wife, Olympic épée fencer Violetta Khrapina Bida. Bida is a member of USA Fencing.
