The Beruas Museum (Malay : Muzium Beruas) is a museum in Beruas, Manjung District, Perak, Malaysia. The goal of the Beruas Museum is to collect history and artifacts related to the lost kingdom of Gangga Negara and Beruas. [1]
In 1991, a historical study was conducted in Beruas by the Beruas Historical Survey Project. In 1995, the museum building was handed over to Perak State Government and it was opened in July the same year. [2]
The museum is housed in a former courthouse. [3]
The museum exhibits various treasures of the ancient government of Gangga Negara and Beruas, such as illustration maps and notes about its past. It includes around 300 artifacts from the old kingdom. [4]

Kota Gelanggi is an archaeological site in Johor, Malaysia. It was reported in 2005 and dating to around 650–900 AD and one of the oldest kingdoms on Southeast Asia's Malay Peninsula. It is a place where the great Tamil Chola dynasty ruled which is a sign that the Cholas had no boundaries and ruled over 10 countries. This is a sign that proves Malaysia also falls under one of the chola’s empire.The site's existence was announced as a 'discovery' by the Malaysian press on 3 February 2005.

Gangga Negara was a semi-legendary Malay-Hindu kingdom mentioned in the Malay Annals. Researchers believe that the kingdom was centred at Beruas and it collapsed after an attack by King Rajendra Chola I of Tamilakam, between 1025 and 1026. According to another Malay annals, the Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa known as the Kedah Annals, Gangga Negara may have been founded by Merong Mahawangsa's son Raja Ganji Sarjuna of Kedah, allegedly a descendant of Alexander the Great or by the Khmer royalties no later than the 2nd century. Raja Gangga Shah Johan was one of its kings.
Taiping is a town located in Larut, Matang and Selama District, Perak, Malaysia. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly PR, Barisan Alternatif (BA) and Gagasan Rakyat (GR) coalitions. He was also Deputy Secretary-General of DAP, Member of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of DAP and State Chairman of DAP of Perak.
