Malaysia Prison Museum (Malay : Muzium Penjara Malaysia) is a prison museum that displays items and information about prison life in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia. It was officially opened by Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca Mohd Khalil Yaakob on 20 November 2014. The museum's building was originally constructed in 1860 by Governor Colonel Cavenagh as HM Prison Jail, and was also known as Henry Gurney School 2nd Bandar Hilir since 1964 and Bandar Hilir Prison since 11 June 1990. Melaka FM is a regional Malay language radio station operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia out of the state capital of Malacca, Malaysia. Transmissions started in 1946 from the Stadthuys building. Broadcasts are daily in Malay from 06:00 to 00:00 featuring local news and Malaysian music. It transmits on FM 102.3 MHz from Gunung Ledang. The Melaka FM transmissions were formerly on AM 1008 kHz, until 2002. It can be received statewide as well as in some parts of Johor, Negeri Sembilan, south west Pahang and part of Selangor.

A Famosa (Malay: Kota A Famosa; "The Famous" in Portuguese, also known as Fortaleza Velha Portuguese: the old fortress, and Dutch: Slavenburgh & De Misericorde was a Portuguese fortress built in Malacca, Malaysia, in 1512. The oldest part of the fortress was a five-storey keep which gave its name to the fortress as a whole. Some time following the Battle of Malacca and the occupation of the city by the Dutch, the keep was destroyed but the outer walls of the fortress were reinforced. However, in 1807 the British destroyed most of the fortress. The Porta de Santiago gateway, and the restored Middelburg Bastion, are the only parts of the fortress that remain today. They are among the oldest European architectural remains in Southeast Asia and the Far East.

Melaka Aerorail is a proposed monorail line to be constructed in Malacca City. It will be constructed in two phases, 9.5 km for the first one with another at 8.7 km. The cost of construction is expected to be around RM1.8 Billion. If it is successful, it will be the first aerorail network in Malaysia and Asia. The project, however, has been postponed indefinitely.

Kuala Linggi is a state constituency in Malacca, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Malacca State Legislative Assembly. The state constituency was first contested in 1986 and is mandated to return a single Assemblyman to the Malacca State Legislative Assembly under the first-past-the-post voting system.
