The Kelantan Museum (Malay : Muzium Kelantan) is a museum in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia.

Contents

History

The museum was established in the former building of Kota Bharu Municipal Council. In 1988, the building interior was renovated by adding an extra half story and rooms for the museum exhibition. It was finally opened on 6 August 1990 by Kelantan Sultan Ismail Petra. [1]

Kelantan Sultanate

The Sultan of Kelantan is the constitutional head of Kelantan state in Malaysia. The executive power of the state is vested in him as the monarch of the state. The current sultan, Muhammad V, is the 29th Sultan of Kelantan. He is the Head of Islam in the state and the source of all titles, honours and dignities of its people. He was the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong. His reign as the monarch and head of state of Malaysia or Yang di-Pertuan Agong began on 13 December 2016, after his election on 14 October 2016 at the 243th (special) Conference of Rulers.

Wan Abdul Rahim bin Wan Abdullah is a Malaysian politician and was a former member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Kota Bharu constituency in Kelantan from 2008–2013 representing the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) opposition coalition. However, since 2015, he has joined Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) new opposition coalition. Wan Abdul Rahim is also known popularly as Cikgu Rahim.

Takiyuddin Hassan

Takiyuddin bin Haji Hassan is a Malaysian politician from the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He has served as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Parliament and Law in the PN administration under Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin since March 2020. He has also served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kota Bharu since May 2013. In addition, he has served as the Secretary-General of PAS since June 2015 and its Chief Whip in the Dewan Rakyat and the only member of the Public Accounts Committee from PAS.
