Anambas Islands Regency is a small archipelago of Indonesia, located 150 nautical miles northeast of Batam Island in the North Natuna Sea between the Malaysian mainland to the west and the island of Borneo to the east. Geographically part of the Tudjuh Archipelago, it is administratively a regency within the Riau Islands Province. It covers a land area of 590.14 square kilometres (227.85 sq mi) and had a population of 37,411 at the 2010 Census and 47,402 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 50,296. The administrative centre is at Tarempa on Siantan Island.
Sikka is a regency within East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia, on the island of Flores. It is bordered to the west by Ende Regency and to the east by East Flores Regency. It covers an area of 1,731.91 km2 and had a population of 300,301 at the 2010 census and 321,953 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 326,999. The capital is the town of Maumere, which comprises the districts of Alok Barat, Alok and Alok Timur.
Sampang Regency is a regency of East Java province, Indonesia. It is situated on Madura Island, bordering on Pamekasan Regency to the east, the Java Sea to the north, Bangkalan Regency to the west, and Madura Strait to the south. It covers an area of 1,233.3 km2, and had a population of at the 2010 census 877,772 and at the 2020 census 969,694; the official estimate as of mid-2022 was 984,162 - comprising 488,673 males and 495,489 females. The administrative centre is the port of Sampang, on the south coast of Madura.
Bintan Regency is an administrative area in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia. Bintan Regency includes all of Bintan Island and also includes many outlying islands including the Tambelan Archipelago and Badas Islands situated between Bintan and West Kalimantan.
North Bengkulu is a regency of Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, on the island of Sumatra. It originally covered much of the northern part of Bengkulu Province, but on 25 February 2003 the most northwesterly districts were split off to form a separate Mukomuko Regency, and on 24 June 2008 the most southeastern districts were likewise split off to create a new Central Bengkulu Regency. The residual regency now covers an area of 4,424.59 km2, and it had a population of 257,675 at the 2010 Census and 296,523 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 302,833. The administrative centre is at the town of Arga Makmur.
The Selayar Islands Regency is a regency of Indonesia in South Sulawesi province that covers the Selayar Islands, which lie southeast of the southern peninsula of Sulawesi. The archipelago consists of the group's main island, which is surrounded by 41 smaller islands around its coast; further to the southeast lies a widespread group of islands, including the huge atoll of Takabonerate. The regency covers an area of 1,357.03 km2, and had a population of 103,596 at the 2000 Census, 122,055 at the Census of 2010 and 137,071 at that of 2020. The official estimate for mid 2022 was 139,145. The administrative centre is the town of Benteng on Selayar Island. The Selayar Straits separate the regency from Sulawesi island.
Alor Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province of Indonesia. Established in 1958, Alor Regency administers the Alor Archipelago with its seat (capital) in Kalabahi on Alor Island.
West Kutai Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan. It previously covered a much greater area, with a population of 165,091 at the 2010 Census, but in December 2012 the five northernmost districts were split off to form a new Mahakam Ulu Regency; the residual area of 20,384.6 km2 had a population of 140,097 at the 2010 Census, and 165,938 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 172,288. The town of Sendawar is the administrative capital.
West Bangka Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Indonesia. It comprises the northwestern part of Bangka Island, together with a number of small islands off its coast. The regency covers an area of 2,820.61 km2 and had a population of 175,110 at the 2010 Census, rising to 204,612 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 209,791 - comprising 108,102 males and 101,689 females. The town of Muntok is its regency seat.
Supiori Regency is a regency in the Indonesian province of Papua. The Regency has an area of 634.24 km2 including the Aruri Islands group to the south, and had a population of 15,874 at the 2010 Census and 22,547 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 23,247 - comprising 12,056 males and 11,191 females. Until 8 January 2004, this area was part of the Biak Numfor Regency, from which it was split off in accordance with the Law dated 18 December 2003.
Yapen Islands Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in Papua Province of eastern Indonesia. It covers an area of 2,432.49 km2 (939.19 sq mi), and had a population of 82,951 at the 2010 Census and 112,676 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 116,107. It comprises an archipelago which lies in Cenderawasih Bay off the north coast of Western New Guinea.
Sumbawa Regency is a Regency (Kabupaten) of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. It is located on the island of Sumbawa and covers an area of 6,643.98 km2 following the separation on 18 December 2003 of what were until then its westernmost five districts to form the newly-created West Sumbawa Regency. It includes the substantial island of Moyo, lying off the north coast of Sumbawa. The population of the Regency at the 2010 Census was 415,789, which rose at the 2020 Census to 509,753; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 527,607. The capital is the town of Sumbawa Besar on the north coast of Sumbawa Island.
West Sumbawa Regency is a Regency (Kabupaten) of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. It is located on the island of Sumbawa and has an area of 1,743.58 km2. The regency was created on 18 December 2003 from what were at that time the westernmost five districts (kecamatan) of Sumbawa Regency. The population at the 2010 Census was 114,754, and at the 2020 Census was 145,798; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 151,775 - comprising 76,959 males and 74,816 females. The capital is the town of Taliwang.
Paser Regency is a regency (kabupaten) within East Kalimantan province in Indonesia, it is the southernmost regency of the East Kalimantan province. Its administrative centre is Tana Paser. It covers an area of 7,730 km2, and it had a population of 230,316 at the 2010 Census and 275,452 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 280,065 . Before 2007, this regency was formerly named Pasir Regency.
Meranti Islands is an archipelago forming a regency (kabupaten) of Riau Province, and lies off the eastern coast of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 19 December 2008 by the separating of this archipelago from the mainland regency of Bengkalis. The regency comprises the islands of Tebing Tinggi, Rangsang, Padang and Merbau, together with minor offshore islands, but does not include Bengkalis Island which is geographically part of the archipelago but remains within Bengkalis Regency. The principal town is Selat Panjang on Tebing Tinggi Island. The regency covers an area of 3,623.93 km2, and had a population of 176,290 at the 2010 Census and 206,116 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 213,532.
Sukamara Regency is one of the thirteen regencies which comprise the Central Kalimantan Province on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. It was created on 10 April 2002 from the former southwest part of West Kotawaringin Regency. The town of Sukamara is the capital of Sukamara Regency, which covers an area of 3,827 km2. The population of the Regency was 44,952 at the 2010 Census and 63,464 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 66,845.
Sinjai Regency is a regency of South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. The regency, whichis separated from the Bone Regency to its north by the River Tangka, covers an area of 819.96 km2. It had a population of 228,936 at the 2010 Census and 259,478 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 263,827. It includes the Nine Islands in the Gulf of Bone off the east coast of the southern peninsula of Sulawesi; this archipelago forms a district within the regency. The regency's principal town lies at Sinjai, a port situated on the east coast of that peninsula.
Takalar Regency is a regency of South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 566.51 km2 and had a population of 269,603 at the 2010 census and 300,853 at the 2020 census; the official estimate for mid 2022 was 305,077. The entire regency lies within the official metropolitan area of the city of Makassar. The principal towns are at Galesong and Takalar, but the administrative centre is at Pattallassang.
North Minahasa Regency is a regency in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Its capital is Airmadidi. It was originally part of the Minahasa Regency until it was split off and established as a separate regency on 20 November 2003. It covers an area of 1,059.24 km2, and had a population of 188,904 at the 2010 Census; this had risen to 224,993 at the 2020 Census, and the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 229,368. The Regency includes the offshore islands of Bangka and Talisei to the north of Sulawesi, and Mantenang and Naeng Besar to the northwest.
Southwest Maluku Regency is a regency of Maluku Province, Indonesia. Geographically it forms the most eastern portion of the Lesser Sunda Islands, although it has never been administratively included with them, and politically has always comprised a part of the Maluku Province. It comprises a number of islands and island groups in the south of the province, including Lirang Island, Wetar Island, Kisar Island, Romang Island, the Letti Islands, the Damer Islands, Mdona Hyera and the Babar Islands. The total land area is 8,633.15 km2, and the population was 70,714 at the 2010 Census and 81,928 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 82,560.
