Big Brother is the Croatian version of the international reality television franchise Big Brother created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was aired on RTL Televizija. It followed a number of contestants who live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. Throughout the season, housemates are completing tasks, every incomplete task reduces the prize.
In the first four regular seasons and the celebrity season, the house was located in Jadran Film studios, in Dubrava, Zagreb. In the fifth season, the house used is the Big Brother Thailand house.
There have been seven regular seasons and one celebrity season. Big Brother holds the record for having the most regular seasons with only male contestants winning the show each year (although the celebrity edition was won by a woman).

In 2008, RTL Televizija launched a special celebrity season of Big Brother. Celebrities entered the house for charity. However, due to low ratings, the celebrity season was ended one week before it planned.

In 2011, Big Brother Croatia joins the regional version of Big Brother — Veliki Brat . The show features contestants from Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Big Brother is a reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999 and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. The name is inspired by Big Brother from George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, and the housemates are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, they are voted out until only one remains and wins the cash prize.

Antonija Brlečić, better known under her maiden surname Blaće, is a Croatian TV host who works for RTL Televizija and Narodni radio. She rose to fame as a contestant of first Croatian season of Big Brother, getting evicted from the Big Brother house a week before the show's final. She became a regular host since the second season and has since hosted every season of the show.
Survivor Croatia is a Croatian reality game show based on the international Survivor format. Following the premise of other versions of the Survivor format, the show features a group of contestants, referred to as "castaways" as they are marooned in an isolated location. The castaways must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in various challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted off the island by their fellow castaways, or eliminated through challenges. The final castaway remaining is awarded the title of "Sole Survivor" and the grand prize.
Taskmaster is a British comedy panel game show created by comedian and musician Alex Horne and presented by both Horne and Greg Davies. In the programme, a group of five celebrities – mainly comedians – attempt to complete a series of challenges, with Horne acting as umpire in each challenge and Davies, the titular "Taskmaster", judging the work and awarding points based on contestants' performances. The concept for the programme was first created by Horne for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010; he later secured a deal with Dave to adapt it for television with the first episode premiering in 2015. After the ninth series in 2019, the programme was acquired by Channel 4. The programme has completed seventeen series as well as three Champion of Champions specials and four New Year's Treat one-offs by January 2024, and is set to continue for at least four more series until 2026.
