Bolaca is a genus of shield-bugs in the subfamily Pentatominae, erected by Francis Walker in 1867. [1] It is the type genus of the tribe Amyntorini, after its synonym Amyntor. [2] B. unicolor can be found in the Palearctic realm. [3]
BioLib [2] includes:
The spotless starling is a passerine bird in the starling family, Sturnidae. It is closely related to the common starling, but has a much more restricted range, confined to the Iberian Peninsula, Northwest Africa, southernmost France, and the islands of Sicily, Corsica and Sardinia. It is largely non-migratory.
Omorgus is a genus of beetles of the family Trogidae with about 140 species worldwide. Omorgus beetles are generally between 9 and 20 mm long.
Afrania is a genus of African shield-bugs in the subfamily Pentatominae and tribe Strachiini, erected by Carl Stål in 1865.
Scotopteryx chenopodiata, the shaded broad-bar, is a moth of the family Geometridae. It was first described by Carl Linnaeus in his 1758 10th edition of Systema Naturae.
Donacaula is a genus of moths of the family Crambidae. The genus was erected by Edward Meyrick in 1890.
Antestia is a genus of African and Asian bugs in the subfamily Pentatominae, erected by Carl Stål, 1865.
Neocerambyx is a genus of round-necked longhorn beetles of the subfamily Cerambycinae.
Sormidomorpha is a monotypic beetle genus in the family Cerambycidae described by Per Olof Christopher Aurivillius in 1920. Its single species, Sormidomorpha unicolor, was described by the same author in the same year.
Sphaerocoris is a genus of African shield-backed bugs belonging to the family Scutelleridae.
Raphidia is a genus of snakefly, mainly found in Europe.
Gergithus is a genus of planthoppers in the family Issidae. Like all planthoppers, adults feed on plant sap and are capable of escaping by leaping. The genus like other members in the tribe appears somewhat rounded and beetle-like, in some cases, with a mimetic resemblance to ladybird beetles. About 60 species are known in the genus and they are distributed in the Indomalayan and Palearctic Realms.
Pentatomini is a tribe of shield bugs in the subfamily of Pentatominae.
Oberea consentanea is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Francis Polkinghorne Pascoe in 1867. It is known from Borneo.
Ortalis is an historic genus of Ulidiid or picture-winged flies, first described by Fallén in 1810. It served as the type genus for the family Ulidiidae, which was called Ortalidae at the time. In 1932, it was pointed out by Adlrich that the name Ortalis was preoccupied by a genus of birds which had been named by Merrem in 1786. The name of the fly family was therefore revised, with some authors calling it Otitidae until Ulidiidae was settled on as standard. The genus itself was found to be paraphyletic, and all of its species have been reassigned to other genera, some in the Ulidiidae, and some in other Tephritoid families. In the following list, the species are organized according to the families and genera to which they have been reassigned.
Podopinae, known as turtle bugs, are a subfamily of the insect family Pentatomidae. The type genus is Podops.
Lamellipalpus is an Asian genus of fireflies or glow-worms in the subfamily Ototretinae.
Irdex is a genus of earwigs belonging to the subfamily Spongiphorinae.
Scotinophara is a genus of shield bugs in the tribe Podopini. At least 63 species have a widespread distribution in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Spermatodes is a genus of shield bugs belonging to the family Pentatomidae, subfamily Pentatominae.
Holcogaster is a genus of mostly Palearctic shield-bugs in the subfamily Pentatominae erected by Franz Xaver Fieber in 1861. Some authorities place this genus in the tribe Carpocorini while others suggest a monotypic tribe Aulacetrini. The type species H. fibulata, has been recorded from mainland Europe.
