Boundary Break is a YouTube series hosted by Derek Forte, better known as Internet personality Shesez. In the series, Shesez explores locations normally unaccessible in video games by using unofficial virtual camera mods. [1] The series started on April 27, 2016, with an episode exploring Super Smash Bros. Brawl . During its run, the show has made multiple notable discoveries in its covered games, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons , [2] Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order , [3] P.T. , [4] Shovel Knight , [5] Grand Theft Auto V , [6] Untitled Goose Game , [7] The Simpsons: Hit & Run , [8] and Mario Kart 8 . [9] For certain episodes, Shesez has spoken with people involved with the development of the covered games, including Kyle Pittman, a programmer for Borderlands 2 , [10] and David D'Angelo, a programmer for Shovel Knight. Reception

Boundary Break's creator and host, Shesez, was nominated for a Shorty Award in the Gaming category for his work on the series, where he was a finalist. [12] Kotaku's Zack Zwiezen praised the Boundary Break episode covering Lego Star Wars: The Video Game , calling it his favorite episode of the series. [13]

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts. It was released for Microsoft Windows on September 26, 1997, as the second Lego video game overall and the first one outside Japan. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) is a media franchise of space western role-playing video games created and developed by BioWare, which have seen releases on the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, OS X, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Android. The franchise takes place in the fictional universe of Star Wars by George Lucas. The first title, and subsequent massively multiplayer online role-playing game series, was developed by BioWare while the second was done by Obsidian Entertainment per LucasArts' request. All were published by LucasArts. The video game series is based on an earlier comic book series; the franchise includes a subsequent new comic book series. Both comic series were published by Dark Horse Comics and act as prequels to the video games.

Mario is a Japanese multimedia franchise created by Japanese game designer Shigeru Miyamoto for video game company Nintendo which produces and publishes its installments. Starring the titular Italian plumber Mario, it is primarily a video game franchise, but has extended to other forms of media, including television series, comic books, a 1993 feature film, a 2023 animated film and theme park attractions. Nintendo released Amiibo in 2014, companion figurines that could be scanned by the 3DS and Wii U systems. On Twitter and other Internet social media, the Gamergate controversy began.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lego Hidden Side</span> Lego theme

Lego Hidden Side was a Lego theme that was first introduced in August 2019. It took place in the fictional city of "Newbury" and linked Lego playsets to an app of the same name, which was used to hunt, capture and collect ghosts according to the principle of augmented reality. The series came on the market in 2019 and, after the discontinued Lego Dimensions and Nexo Knights series, represented another attempt by The Lego Group to link digital and real game worlds. It was accompanied by the Lego Hidden Side webisode series and a television special, which was released on the Lego YouTube channel, and on Cartoon Network. The product line was discontinued by the end of 2020.

An untitled Grand Theft Auto game is in development by Rockstar Games. It is due to be the eighth main Grand Theft Auto game, following Grand Theft Auto V (2013), and the sixteenth instalment overall. Following years of speculation and leaks, Rockstar confirmed in February 2022 that the game is in development. Footage from unfinished versions was leaked online in September in what was described as one of the biggest leaks in the history of the video game industry.

A Soulslike is a subgenre of action role-playing and action-adventure games known for high levels of difficulty and emphasis on environmental storytelling, typically in a dark fantasy setting. It had its origin in Demon's Souls and the Dark Souls series by FromSoftware, the themes and mechanics of which directly inspired several other games. Soulslike games developed by FromSoftware themselves have been specifically referred to as Soulsborne games, a portmanteau of Souls and Bloodborne. Soulslikes have been adopted by a number of critics and developers. However, it has also received questions whether it is a true genre or a collection of shared mechanics.

<i>Star Wars Jedi: Survivor</i> 2023 action-adventure video game

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. A sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), the game takes place five years after the ending of the first and continues the adventure of young Jedi Knight, Cal Kestis, as he and his friends continue in their struggle to survive the tyranny of the Galactic Empire. Survivor was released for the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on April 28, 2023. It received generally favorable reviews from critics.

Warped Kart Racers is a crossover racing video game developed and published by Electric Square under licensing from 20th Century Games. It features properties from four different shows by 20th Television Animation, including: Family Guy, American Dad!, King of the Hill and Solar Opposites. It was released exclusively through Apple Arcade on May 20, 2022.

Lego 2K Drive is a Lego-based racing game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. It was released on May 19, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the gameplay while criticizing the live-service nature of the title.
