"Broke Leg" is a song by Canadian singer Tory Lanez featuring American Rappers Tyga and Quavo. Mad Love Records and Interscope Records released it as the fifth single from Lanez's third studio album, Love Me Now? (2018), on May 31, 2019. [1] The bridge of the song interpolates Juvenile's 1999 hit song "Back That Azz Up." [2]
While promoting the release of the track days prior to its release, Lanez stated on his social media accounts that "[Broke Leg] IS GOING PLATINUM IN THE FIRST 10 SECONDS". [3] The singer also explained that the reason why he hasn't released as much music as he wanted was due to a request from his label: "I had to wait to release songs after "Freaky" because my label told me to wait to drop music until #BrokeLeg dropped on the 31st". [4]
The music video for "Broke Leg" was released alongside the song. [5] It starts off with Lanez exiting an ambulance and moving into a space with choreographed females and crutches, with Quavo and Tyga appearing shortly after. The video ends with a homage to Jordan Peele's 2017 American psychological horror film Get Out . [6]
