Brunots Island Race Track was a one-mile dirt oval on Brunot Island in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It hosted races from 1903 to 1914, including a race in 1905 AAA Championship Car season won by Louis Chevrolet. It is now the site of a fossil-fuel power plant.
Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller was a United States Marine Corps officer. Sonoma Raceway is a road course and dragstrip located at Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains of Sonoma County, California. The road course features 12 turns on a hilly course with 160 ft (49 m) of total elevation change. It is host to one of the few NASCAR Cup Series races each year that are run on road courses. It has also played host to the IndyCar Series, the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, and several other auto races and motorcycle races such as the American Federation of Motorcyclists series. Sonoma Raceway continues to host amateur, or club racing events with some open to the public. The largest such car club is the Sports Car Club of America. The track is 30 mi (48 km) north of San Francisco and Oakland.
The Ohio Connecting Railroad Bridge is a steel bridge which crosses the Ohio River at Brunot's Island at the west end of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It consists of two major through truss spans over the main and back channels of the river, of 508 feet (155 m) and 406 feet (124 m) respectively, with deck truss approaches.

Brunot Island is a 129-acre (52 ha) island in the Ohio River. It is officially part of the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It was named for Dr. Felix Brunot who settled the island with his extended family in the late 1700s. The family entertained the Lewis and Clark Expedition on the island in August 1803. The island is home to the Brunot Island Generating Station, a 315 MW fossil fuel power plant.

Charlotte Becker is a German professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team Arkéa Pro Cycling Team. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's road race, but finished over the time limit. She also competed on the track in the women's team pursuit for the national team. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail is an urban rail trail paralleling the riverbanks in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County for about 33 miles (53 km), often on both sides of the rivers, and offering views of the city.
