Cartoons on the Bay

Cartoons on the Bay is an international festival held in Italy dedicated to television-, film- and transmedia- animation. [1] [2] [3] [4] The Pulcinella Awards are presented at the festival for excellence in animation production. [5] [6] [7] Its purpose is to promote the activity of authors and producers from all over the world, offering an opportunity to meet with buyers, distributors and television managers. It is organised by the public service broadcaster RAI. The festival has been staged in Amalfi, Salerno, [8] Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, Positano, [9] [10] [11] [12] Venice [13] [14] and Turin.

<i>Ryan</i> (film) 2004 Canadian film

Ryan is a 2004 short animated documentary film created and directed by Chris Landreth about Canadian animator Ryan Larkin, who had lived on skid row in Montreal as a result of drug and alcohol abuse. Landreth's chance meeting with Larkin in 2000 inspired him to develop the film, which took 18 months to complete. It was co-produced by Copper Heart Entertainment and the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), and its creation and development is the subject of the NFB documentary Alter Egos. The film incorporated material from archive sources, particularly Larkin's works at the NFB.

Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker. Produced by Astley Baker Davies, the show follows Peppa, an anthropomorphic female piglet, and her family, as well as her peers portrayed as other animals. The show first aired on 31 May 2004. The seventh season began broadcasting on 5 March 2021. Peppa Pig has been broadcast in over 180 countries.

Charlie and Lola is a British animated children's television series based on the popular children's picture book series of the same name by Lauren Child. The show started on 7 November 2005. The series was produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, and has won multiple BAFTA awards. The animation uses a collage style that emulates the style of the original books. Charlie and Lola is also available on BBC iPlayer for over a year.

Il Mondo di Stefi is an Italian animated series produced by Rai Fiction and The Animation Band and directed by Alessandro Belli. It premiered on Rai 3 on 19 April 2008 and was added to Rai Gulp in March 2009 and RaiSat Smash Girls in May 2009. It is based on the Stefi comics by Grazia Nidasio.
