The Cedarville Dolomite is a geologic formation in Ohio. It dates back to the Silurian.

The Chillicothe Gazette is Ohio's oldest newspaper, published daily at Chillicothe, Ohio, the seat of Ross County, Ohio, by Gannett. The paper was founded as a weekly at Cincinnati, Ohio, then the capital of the Northwest Territory, November 9, 1793 as the Centinel of the Northwest Territory. It decamped to Chillicothe when the territorial government moved to that city c. 1800. The paper was owned until the 1990s by Gannett, who sold it to Community Newspaper Holdings who in turn sold to The Thomson Corporation. When Thomson exited the newspaper business in the late 1990s, Gannett bought it back.
The Ohio State University Radio Observatory was a Kraus-type radio telescope located on the grounds of the Perkins Observatory at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio from 1963 to 1998. Known as Big Ear, the observatory was part of Ohio State University's Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) project. The telescope was designed by John D. Kraus. Construction of the Big Ear began in 1956 and was completed in 1961, and it was finally turned on for the first time in 1963.

Ohio's 7th congressional district is represented by Bob Gibbs. It is currently located in the northeastern section of the state, including the city of Canton. It was redrawn in 2012, following the 2010 United States Census, and was previously located in southwest Ohio, including the city of Springfield.

On September 25, 2015, Boehner announced his resignation from the speakership and retirement from Congress, which became effective on October 31, 2015.
Ohio's 10th congressional district is represented by Representative Mike Turner (R). The district is based in southwestern Ohio and consists of Montgomery, Greene, and Fayette counties.
The 13th congressional district of Ohio is represented by Representative Tim Ryan. Due to reapportionment following the 2010 United States Census, Ohio lost its 17th and 18th congressional districts, necessitating redrawing of district lines. Following the 2012 elections, the 13th district changed to take in much of the territory in the former 17th district, including the city of Youngstown and areas east of Akron.
The 14th congressional district of Ohio is in the far northeast corner of the state, bordering Lake Erie and Pennsylvania. It is currently represented in the United States House of Representatives by Dave Joyce.
The 15th congressional district of Ohio currently has no representative. It was most recently represented by Republican Steve Stivers, who resigned May 16, 2021 to become president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Following his resignation, a special election will be held. The district includes the southern portions of Columbus as well as communities west and south of the city. It also includes the college towns of Athens and Wilmington.
The 16th congressional district of Ohio is represented by Representative Anthony Gonzalez (R). This district will be eliminated on January 3, 2023.
