Charisma Osborne (born June 3, 2001) is an American professional basketball player who is a free agent. She was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2024 WNBA draft. She played college basketball at UCLA.
Osborne played basketball for Windward School in Los Angeles under coach Vanessa Nygaard. As a sophomore, she led her team to a Division I state title. [1] In her junior season, Osborne led Windward to the Open Division state championship and earned California Ms. Basketball honors. [2] As a senior, she was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game and was named Los Angeles Times player of the year for a third consecutive season. [3] Rated a five-star recruit by ESPN, she committed to play college basketball for UCLA over offers from Duke, Louisville, Ohio State and USC. [4]
As a freshman at UCLA, Osborne averaged 12.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, receiving Pac-12 All-Freshman honors. She made 59 three-pointers, the most by a freshman in program history. [5] On February 26, 2021, she posted her first career triple-double, with 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in a 93–51 win over USC. [6] In her sophomore season, Osborne averaged 17 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game and was an All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 All-Defensive Team selection. [7] As a junior, she averaged 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, earning All-Pac-12 honors. [8] In the second round of the 2023 NCAA tournament, Osborne scored a career-high 36 points in an 82–73 victory over Oklahoma. [9] She averaged 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in her senior season and made the All-Pac-12 Team for her third straight year. Despite being a projected top-10 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, Osborne returned to UCLA for a fifth season of eligibility, granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [10] During her fifth season, she reached second on the all-time scoring list for UCLA women's basketball. [11]
Osborne was chosen as the first pick of the third round (25th overall) by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2024 WNBA draft. [12] On 11 May 2024, Osborne was waived by the Phoenix Mercury. [13]
Osborne won a gold medal playing for the United States at the 2018 FIBA Under-17 World Cup, where she averaged 4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. [14] She competed for the senior national team at the 2023 FIBA Women's AmeriCup in Mexico, averaging 5.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and a team-high 3 assists per game en route to a silver medal. [15]

She is currently the head coach for Triplets in the BIG3 professional basketball league, as well as a studio analyst for Orlando Magic broadcasts on Bally Sports Florida. In 2002, Leslie made history as the first player to dunk during a Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) game. Candace Nicole Parker nicknamed "Ace", is an American former professional basketball player. Widely regarded as one of the greatest WNBA players of all time, she was selected as the first overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. Chinenye "Chiney" Ogwumike is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). In 2020, she became the first Black woman and the first WNBA player to host a national radio show for ESPN. She was one of the first and youngest commentators ever to be named an NBA analyst for the network covering the NBA, WNBA, and variety of sports, while simultaneously playing in the WNBA. Chiney is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in International relations. She played in three Final Fours and finished as the conference leader in scoring and rebounding as of January 3, 2014. As of 2016, Ogwumike was elected Vice-President of the WNBA Players Association, and signed an endorsement deal with Adidas. In May 2018, Ogwumike signed a multi-year contract with ESPN to become a full-time basketball analyst.
Aaron Shawn Holiday is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The guard played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins, where he earned All-American recognition. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft with the 23rd overall pick.

Jaylen Joseph Hands is an American professional basketball player for Palencia of the Spanish Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. As a high school senior in 2017, he was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game, and was ranked as a consensus five-star prospect and the No. 3 point guard in the country in the class of 2017 by all major scouting services, including ESPN and 247Sports. Hands earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors in his sophomore year with UCLA in 2019. He was selected in the second round of the 2019 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 56th pick before being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. He played a season in the NBA G League with Brooklyn's affiliate, the Long Island Nets before beginning his European career in 2021.
Jordin Elizabeth Canada is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was selected by the Seattle Storm with the 5th overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Canada played collegiately with the UCLA Bruins. Jaime Jaquez Jr. is a Mexican-American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins of the Pac-12 Conference. Jaquez was named a consensus second-team All-American and voted the Pac-12 Player of the Year as a senior in 2023. He earned three All-Pac-12 selections, including first-team honors twice. Jaquez was also a two-time member of the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team. He was selected by the Heat in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft with the 18th overall pick. He is nicknamed ”Juan Wick” for his Mexican heritage and perceived resemblance to John Wick.

A point guard, she began her college basketball career at Oregon before transferring to Nebraska after her sophomore season. In her first year with the Cornhuskers, Shelley was a second-team All-Big Ten selection, before making the coaches' first-team in her next season. She returned for a fifth college season and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors. The 2023–24 UCLA Bruins women's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.
