Charleston is an area on the northwest edge of Dundee, Scotland. Menzieshill is to the immediate southwest, Camperdown borders it to the north, and Lochee is to the east.
The area is home to two primary schools - Camperdown Primary (multi-religious) and St Clement's Primary (Catholic) - as well as a library and a variety of small shops. Charleston is a very quiet and small suburb. Thoroughfares include South Road, Dunholm Road, Buttars Loan and Brown Hill Road. There is one play park locally, named Sandy Park.

The Balgarthno Stone Circle is a late Neolithic/Bronze Age stone circle in Charleston. It is known locally as the Myrekirk.

Wigtownshire or the County of Wigtown is one of the historic counties of Scotland, covering an area in the south-west of the country. Until 1975, Wigtownshire was an administrative county used for local government. Since 1975 the area has formed part of Dumfries and Galloway for local government purposes. Wigtownshire continues to be used as a territory for land registration, being a registration county. The historic county is all within the slightly larger Wigtown Area, which is one of the lieutenancy areas of Scotland and was used in local government as the Wigtown District from 1975 to 1996.

The Lochmaben Stone is a megalith standing in a field, nearly a mile west of the Sark mouth on the Solway Firth, three hundred yards or so above high water mark on the farm of Old Graitney in Dumfries & Galloway in Scotland. Gowrie Park is a residential area of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom. Sandwiched between Menzieshill and Dundee Technology Park, it is located in the western edge of the city. The Gowrie Park suburb was developed by local builders Bett Brothers in the 1970 and 80s and all homes are all privately owned. Camperdown Cemetery is an historic cemetery located on Church Street in Newtown, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The cemetery was founded in 1848 and was for twenty years the main general cemetery for Sydney, with the total number of burials being about 18,000. Many people who were important to the early history of colonial Australia are buried there. It is the only one of Sydney's three main early cemeteries that still exists.

Western Avenue is one of three boundary streets between Washington, D.C., and the state of Maryland. It follows a southwest-to-northeast line, beginning at Westmoreland Circle in the south and ending at Oregon Avenue NW in the north. It is roughly 3.5 miles (5.6 km) in length. First proposed in 1893, it was constructed somewhat fitfully from about 1900 to 1931.
The Municipality of Camperdown was a local government area of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The municipality was proclaimed in 1862 and, with an area of 1.6 square kilometres, covered the entire suburb of Camperdown, as well as small parts of Annandale, Newtown and Stanmore. The municipality unified in February 1870 with the Municipality of Cook, which had also been established in 1862 to the north. After years of financial difficulties, the Camperdown council was formally amalgamated with the City of Sydney on 22 December 1908.
