Description

The shells of these snails are 1.3–1.9 mm in height, with a diameter of 3–3.6 mm. The colour is cream with golden-brown or orange-brown flammulations (flame-like markings). The shape is discoidal with a low or moderately raised spire, whorls shouldered with an angulate periphery, and a weak spiral structure. The umbilicus is moderately to widely open. The aperture is rounded and lunate. [3]

Distribution and habitat

C. wilkinsoni occurs most commonly on the northern and central-southern parts of the island, in rainforest and moist woodland. C. zela is very rare and has only been recorded from the summit of Mount Gower and upper slopes of Mount Lidgbird. [3]
