Catholic Presbyterian Church United States historic place

Catholic Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church in Chester, South Carolina. The church congregation was founded in 1759 and sixty-two men from the church served in the Revolutionary War. Several are buried nearby. The current brick church building, the third located on the same site, was constructed in 1842 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Altamaha Town is an archaeological site in the Bluffton, South Carolina area. It was the location of Altamaha, the head town of the Lower Towns of the Yamasee tribe during their entire 30 year presence in South Carolina. Evidence dates the beginning of this period from 1707–1715, though it is possible the town was formed as early as 1695. The area encompassed over 100 acres (40 ha) and 40 houses. There is also archaeological evidence to suggest that the site was also occupied intermittently prior to the arrival of the Yamasee, from at least 1500 BC to 1715 AD.

Chester Field, located in Beaufort County, South Carolina, is one of the nearly two dozen prehistoric shell rings that run from the center coast of South Carolina to the central coast of Georgia. Archaeologists date the pottery that has been found at these sites to be in the second millennium BC, this placing the artifacts among the earliest pottery of North America. The purpose or use of the ring shape is not known. This “address restricted” site was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1970.

Chester City Hall and Opera House United States historic place

Chester City Hall and Opera House is a historic city hall and theatre located at Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. It was built in 1890–1891, and is a Romanesque Revival style brick building. The façade consists of three sections: a four-story tower, gabled three-story central section, and a less ornate three-story section. The interior was renovated following a fire in 1929, which destroyed the original spire tower containing a four-faced clock. Since 1891, this building has housed the town's administrative offices.

Colvin–Fant–Durham Farm Complex United States historic place

Colvin–Fant–Durham Farm Complex, also known as the Nicholas Colvin House and Durham House, is a historic home and farm complex and national historic district located near Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. The district encompasses six contributing buildings. The house was built about 1835, and is a vernacular farmhouse with transitional Federal and early Greek Revival detailing. The house consists of a two-story, hall and parlor plan, frame main block and a one-story, frame dining room and kitchen ell, which was added in the late-19th century. The property also includes a smokehouse, well house/power house, mule barn, tenant house, and a log cottonseed house.

Fishdam Ford United States historic place

Fishdam Ford is a historic ford and fish trap located near Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. The ford is believed to be of Native American origin. Adjacent to the ford is an Native American fish trap. Fishdam Ford is not only representative of an aboriginal method of fishing that existed in this country long before the coming of the Europeans but the ford also played an important role in the Colonial history of the Carolina back country.

McCollum Mound United States historic place

McCollum Mound, also known as Turkey Creek Mound and village, is a historic mound and village site located near Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. The site is one of less than two dozen mounds of aboriginal origin in the state of South Carolina. The mound was built in three, or possibly more, stages. The Turkey Creek mound and village were probably inhabited during the late prehistoric and early historic periods. The mound is located on the Broad River approximately 500–600 feet downstream from the McCollum Fish Weir.
