Chlorosplenium is a genus of fungi in the family Dermateaceae. [1] The genus was circumscribed by Elias Magnus Fries in 1849. [2]
As of November 2015 [update] , the nomenclatural authority Index Fungorum accepts 17 species of Chlorosplenium: [3]
Calvatia is a genus of puffball mushrooms that includes the spectacular giant puffball C. gigantea. It was formerly classified within the now-obsolete order Lycoperdales, which, following a restructuring of fungal taxonomy brought about by molecular phylogeny, has been split; the puffballs, Calvatia spp. are now placed in the family Agaricaceae of the order Agaricales.
Irpex lacteus is a common crust fungus distributed throughout temperate areas of the world. It is the type of the genus Irpex. Irpex lacteus is considered a polypore, but depending on growth conditions it can also produce a hydnoid hymenophore. Due to this variability and abundance of the species it has been described as a new species to science numerous times and subsequently has an extensive synonymy. The complete genome sequence of Irpex lacteus was reported in 2017.
Fomitopsis is a genus of more than 40 species of bracket fungi in the family Fomitopsidaceae.
Lamprospora is a genus of fungi in the family Pyronemataceae.
Phlebia is a genus of mostly crust fungi in the family Meruliaceae. The genus has a widespread distribution. Phlebia species cause white rot.
Pirottaea is a genus of fungi in the family Dermateaceae. The genus contained 26 species in 2009. It went up to about 48 species later.
Stamnaria is a genus of fungi in the family Helotiaceae. The genus contains at least 7 species, all of which are parasites of horsetails, reproducing through apothecia which burst through the outer surface of the hosts. It has an anamorph with genus name Titaeospora, but according to current rules the holomorph name Stamnaria should be used where possible.
Venturia is a genus of fungi in the family Venturiaceae. First identified in 1882, species in the genus are plant pathogens. Venturia is widespread and the genus contains an estimated 58 species, or 130 species. Anamorphs were historically represented in the genus Fusicladium.
Plectania is a genus of fungi in the family Sarcosomataceae. It was circumscribed by German botanist Karl Wilhelm Gottlieb Leopold Fuckel in 1870.
Lachnellula is a genus of fungi in the family Lachnaceae. The genus contains 40 species. Lachnellula was circumscribed in 1884 by Petter Karsten, with Lachnellula chrysophthalma assigned as the type species.
Urceolella is a genus of fungi within the Hyaloscyphaceae family. The genus contains 23 species. Species Fungorum accepts 44 species.
Rutstroemia is a genus of fungi in the family Rutstroemiaceae. It was circumscribed by Petter Karsten in 1871.
Disciseda is a genus of gasteroid fungi in the family Agaricaceae. It is a widely distributed genus that is prevalent in arid zones. Disciseda was circumscribed by mycologist Vassiliĭ Matveievitch Czernajew in 1845.
Sarcodontia is a genus of toothed fungi in the family Meruliaceae. It was circumscribed by Hungarian–Croatian mycologist Stephan Schulzer von Müggenburg in 1866, with Sarcodontia mali as the type species.
Steccherinum is a widely distributed genus of toothed crust fungi in the family Steccherinaceae.
Lopharia is a genus of fungi in the family Polyporaceae. The genus was circumscribed by Károly Kalchbrenner and Peter MacOwan in 1881.
Thelephora is a genus of fungi in the family Thelephoraceae. The genus has a widespread distribution and contains about 50 species. Fruit bodies of species are leathery, usually brownish at maturity, and range in shape from coral-like tufts to having distinct caps. Almost all species in the genus are thought to be inedible, but Thelephora ganbajun is a gourmet fungus in Yunnan province of southwest China.
Isaria is a genus of fungi mostly in the order Hypocreales and family Clavicipitaceae, or by some authorities the Cordycipitaceae. It includes a large number of entomopathogenic species, some of them exploited as biopesticides : often previously assigned to the genus Paecilomyces.
