Christabelle Borg (born 28 April 1992), sometimes known as simply Christabelle, is a Maltese singer, songwriter, and television presenter. She represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song "Taboo", but failed to qualify to the final, finishing in 13th place with 101 points".
Borg was born on 1992 in Mġarr. [1] She later studied music at Mount St. Mary's College, graduating in 2014. Afterwards, she studied accounting at the University of Malta and graduated with a Master's degree in 2015. [2] [3]
Borg began her career as a teenager, hosting the Maltese television shows Teen Trouble and Teen Traffic. In 2005 she tried to represent Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Going wild". In 2014, Borg took part in Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Lovetricity", placing eighth in the final. In 2018, she returned to Malta Eurovision Song Contest for the fourth time with the song "Taboo", winning the competition. She represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. [8] [9]

Malta has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 35 times since its debut in 1971. The contest is broadcast in Malta on the PBS channel, TVM. Malta has yet to win the contest, but is the only non-winning country to have achieved four top three results.
Ira Losco M.Q.R. is a Maltese pop singer. Her career breakthrough came in 2002, when she represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "7th Wonder". She placed second in the competition, Malta's best ever result. Fourteen years later, she returned and represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Walk on Water", placing twelfth. Losco has released six studio albums so far in her career and is one of the most successful Maltese musicians of all time. In 2018, she served as a judge on the inaugural season of X Factor Malta. She returned to serve as a judge in 2019.
Gerard James Borg is a Maltese songwriter, author, and concept creator. He is well known for writing multiple songs that competed in the Eurovision Song Contest.

X Factor Malta is the Maltese version of the British television music competition The X Factor, created by Simon Cowell. The first season premiered on 7 October 2018 and has since been broadcast on Television Malta. The show was used to determine the artist that would represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 and 2020. In July 2020, it was announced that the show would be replaced by Malta's Got Talent, but after a one-year hiatus, a third season began in October 2021.
