Clematis ochroleuca is a species of flowering plants in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae, known by the common names curlyheads [1] and erect silky leather-flower. [2] It is native to North America with a distribution on the east coast of the United States from Long Island to northern Georgia. [1]

Some early land plants had less developed vascular tissue; the term eutracheophyte has been used for all other vascular plants.
