Clymer Township is a township in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 621 at the 2020 census. [2]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 33.7 square miles (87 km2), of which 33.5 square miles (87 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) (0.45%) is water.
As of the census [4] of 2000, there were 597 people, 235 households, and 175 families residing in the township. The population density was 17.8 people per square mile (6.9/km2). There were 411 housing units at an average density of 12.3/sq mi (4.7/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 99.33% White, 0.17% Native American, 0.17% Asian, and 0.34% from two or more races.
There were 235 households, out of which 25.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.0% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% were non-families. 22.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the township the population was spread out, with 23.5% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 22.8% from 25 to 44, 32.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
