The Columbia Lions men's squash team is the intercollegiate men's squash team for Columbia University located in New York City, New York. The team competes in the Ivy League within the College Squash Association. The university first fielded a varsity team in 2010, under the leadership of head coach Jacques Swanepoel. [2]

History

The Lions beat Harvard in the 2017–2018 regular season for the first time in program history with a nail-biting 5–4 victory, with the deciding match won by Osama Khalifa. They went on undefeated in Ivy League play in the regular season, earning them their very first Ivy League title.

The team was the co-champion of the Ivy League, but lost a one-game playoff for an invitation to the 23-team 1968 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.

The 1996–97 Princeton Tigers men's basketball team represented Princeton University in intercollegiate college basketball during the 1996–97 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The head coach was Bill Carmody and the team captain was Sydney Johnson. The team played its home games in the Jadwin Gymnasium on the University campus in Princeton, New Jersey. The team was the undefeated champion of the Ivy League, which earned them an invitation to the 64-team 1997 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament where they were seeded twelfth in the East Region. This was Carmody's first season taking over the coaching duties from Pete Carril who had been Princeton coach since 1967 and retired as the Ivy League's winningest coach in terms of victories and conference championships.

The Cornell Big Red wrestling team represents Cornell University of Ithaca, New York in collegiate wrestling. It is one of the most successful and storied collegiate wrestling programs in the nation with over 20 individual NCAA champions, 43 Ivy League championships, and 28 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association championships since the program's 1907 founding.

Akhnaten Spencer-El is an American sabre fencer. He competed in the individual sabre event at the 2000 Summer Olympics, finishing 34th. They won Columbia's first and only Ivy League championship, sharing the title with Harvard.
