Commonwealth Avenue (Chinese :联邦道) is a major road in Singapore. It runs from Alexandra Road and terminates at North Buona Vista Road. It was originally built as part of the Queenstown New Town Housing Project. It continues through Commonwealth Avenue West which was built in June 13, 1977.
Chinese is a group of related, but in many cases not mutually intelligible, language varieties, forming the Sinitic branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family. Chinese is spoken by the Han majority and many minority ethnic groups in China. About 1.2 billion people speak some form of Chinese as their first language.

Commonwealth Avenue West is a major road that goes from North Buona Vista Road all the way to Toh Tuck Avenue. It was opened on 28 August 1977 from Holland Avenue to Ghim Moh Road, followed by on 7 October 1977 towards the Clementi New Town and was joined up by the Boon Lay Way in July 20, 1980; when the Commonwealth Avenue West Extension just opened by the construction since January 1978. The entire section was completed in November 1980.
