Cory Maloy (born July 31,1962) is an American politician who has served in the Utah House of Representatives from the 52nd district. [1] [2] The 6th district was changed to the 52nd district due to redistricting where Maloy was re-elected in 2022.
Utah County is the second-most populous county in the U.S. state of Utah. The county seat and largest city is Provo,which is the state's fourth-largest city,and the largest outside of Salt Lake County. As of the 2020 United States Census,the population was 665,665.
Since Utah became a U.S. state in 1896,it has sent congressional delegations to the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives. Each state elects two senators to serve for six years. Before the Seventeenth Amendment in 1913,senators were elected by the Utah State Legislature. Members of the House of Representatives are elected to two-year terms,one from each of Utah's four congressional districts. Before becoming a state,the Territory of Utah elected a non-voting delegate at-large to Congress from 1850 to 1896.
The 1890 United States House of Representatives elections were held for the most part on November 4,1890,with five states holding theirs early in between June and October. They occurred in the middle of President Benjamin Harrison's term. Elections were held for 332 seats of the United States House of Representatives,representing 44 states,to serve in the 52nd United States Congress. Special elections were also held throughout the year.

She previously served as chief legal counsel to U.S. Representative Chris Stewart and as the deputy county attorney for Washington County,Utah. Prior to her legal career,Maloy worked as a conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
