Christine Watkins (born 1950) is an American politician serving in the Utah House of Representatives,representing District 67.
Watkins lives in Carbon County. Her husband was a city councilman in Castle Dale. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Utah State University,three Special Education Endorsements from BYU,and a Master's of Educational Leadership from the University of Utah. Watkins served on the Castle Dale City Planning and Zoning board,and also held leadership positions in the Emery Education Association. She served as the executive director for the Southeastern Utah UniServ. [2]
Prior to the 2018 election,Watkins had served a total of six years in the Utah House of Representatives:from 2009 through 2012,and again from 2017 to the present. After losing her bid for reelection in 2012,she switched party affiliation from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party. [3] In 2016,she defeated Democratic Incumbent Brad King. In 2018,Rep. Watkins ran as the Republican incumbent serving a two-year term that began on Jan. 1,2017,and defeated Democratic challenger Tim Glenn. [4]
During the 2022 General Session,Watkins served on the Business,Economic Development,and Labor Appropriations Subcommittee,House Education Committee,and House Natural Resources,Agriculture,and Environment Committee. [5]

Coleman Alexander Young II is a Democratic politician who is a current member of the Detroit City Council and a former member of the Michigan Senate. In the Michigan Senate,he represented the 1st district,which included the municipalities of Ecorse,Gibraltar,River Rouge,Riverview,Trenton,Woodhaven,Wyandotte and a portion of Detroit. He served as the vice chair of the Local Government and Elections Committee,General Government Appropriations Subcommittee,Judiciary Appropriations Subcommittee,Licensing And Regulatory Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee and Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee. Young also sat on the Appropriations Committee and Insurance Committee. He previously served as the vice chair of the Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Committee and Reforms,Restructuring and Reinventing Committee,as well as having previously served on the Banking and Financial Institutions Committee,Education Committee and Energy and Technology Committee. From 2011 to 2014,Young served as the Senate Assistant Minority Caucus Chair and also served as the Senate Assistant Minority Floor Leader.
Martha G. Scott is an American politician serving as a member of the Wayne County Commission. She previously served as a Democratic member of the Michigan State Senate from 2001 through 2010,a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1994 through 2001. Her senate district included the northeast section of Detroit and the cities of Hamtramck,Highland Park,Harper Woods,and the five Grosse Pointes. She was term limited at the 2010 elections,and ran for the office of Wayne County Commissioner. She won election has since been reelected several times to the Wayne County Commission.
