DART First State operates seven year-round bus which serve Sussex County. [1] [2] The year-round routes operate Monday-Friday with some Saturday service. One of the year-round routes serving Seaford is a "Flex Route", where passengers can make reservations for the bus to pick them up within a mile off the fixed route and also flag the bus at any location in designated Flag Zones. [2] DART First State also operates a microtransit service branded as "DART Connect" in the Georgetown and Millsboro areas. [3] DART First State operates six seasonal routes, branded as "Beach Bus", daily from May to September to serve the Delaware Beaches. Four of the year-round routes offer expanded service in the summer as part of the "Beach Bus" program. [1] Bus service in Sussex County is operated under contract by First Transit.

DART Connect

DART Connect is a microtransit service operated by DART First State in the Georgetown and Millsboro areas in Sussex County. The service operates similar to a rideshare and provides on-demand service using minibuses, as opposed to a traditional bus service that follows a published schedule. Rides can be booked using the DART Connect app or over the phone. Fares are the same as traditional bus service. DART Connect service is offered Monday-Friday year-round. DART Connect service began on April 12, 2021, replacing Flex Routes 901F and 902F. [3]

DART First State

The Delaware Transit Corporation, operating as DART First State, is the only public transportation system that operates throughout the U.S. state of Delaware. DART First State provides local and inter-county bus service throughout the state and also subsidizes commuter rail service along SEPTA Regional Rail's Wilmington/Newark Line serving the northern part of the state. The agency also operates statewide paratransit service for people with disabilities. DART First State is a subsidiary of the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT).

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) provides public transportation for Pinellas County, Florida. The authority manages a bus system that encompasses over 40 bus routes - including 2 express routes to Tampa, 3 flex-route neighborhood connectors, the Central Avenue Trolley, and the Suncoast Beach Trolley.

DART First State inter-county bus routes

DART First State operates four year-round inter-county bus routes, two of which connect New Castle and Kent counties and two of which connect Kent and Sussex counties. A fifth seasonal inter-county bus route serves the Delaware Beaches from May to September, providing access from New Castle and Kent counties.

Delaware Route 30 State highway in Sussex County, Delaware, United States

Delaware Route 30 (DE 30) is a state highway in Sussex County, Delaware. The route runs from an intersection with Bi-State Boulevard a short distance west of U.S. Route 13 (US 13) between Laurel and Delmar to DE 1 Business southeast of Milford in the area of Lincoln and Cedar Creek. The road runs east to Gumboro, where it turns north on the Millsboro Highway to Millsboro. Along this road, DE 30 shares concurrencies with DE 26, DE 54, and DE 24. From Millsboro, the route passes through Gravel Hill and to the west of Milton before reaching Milford. DE 30 is signed as an east-west road from the southern terminus to the east end of the DE 24 concurrency in Millsboro and as a north-south road from that point until the northern terminus.

DART First State Kent County bus routes

DART First State operates 10 bus routes Mondays through Fridays with some Saturday service as a hub-and-spoke system out of the Dover Transit Center in Dover, serving Kent County. These routes are numbered in the 100-series. In addition to the fixed-route service, GoLink Flex bus service formerly provided service from points within the Dover area to a free transfer to a fixed route. This service was available on weekdays through advance reservations. GoLink Flex bus service was discontinued in May 2017 due to low usage.

Demand-responsive transport (DRT), also known as demand-responsive transit, demand-responsive service, Dial-a-Ride transit (DART) or flexible transport services, is a form of shared private or quasi-public transport for groups traveling where vehicles alter their routes each journey based on particular transport demand without using a fixed route or timetabled journeys. These vehicles typically pick-up and drop-off passengers in locations according to passengers needs and can include taxis, buses or other vehicles.

Des Moines Area Regional Transit

Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) operates mass transit service in Greater Des Moines. It is the largest public transit agency operating in the state of Iowa.

The Metro Arlington Xpress (MAX) was a public transit system serving Arlington, Texas, part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. MAX consisted of a single bus route that connected CentrePort/DFW Airport station on the Trinity Railway Express to downtown Arlington and the University of Texas at Arlington campus. The service was operated by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and funded by the city of Arlington. The pilot program started in August 2013 and was replaced by a ride-sharing service in December 2017.

Christiana Mall Park & Ride

The Christiana Mall Park & Ride is a park and ride lot and bus terminal located at the Christiana Mall in the unincorporated community of Christiana between Wilmington and Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. The park and ride serves DART First State buses, with service provided by 9 local bus routes serving New Castle County and two inter-county bus routes that provide service to Dover and seasonal service to Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.

Ocean City Transportation is a public transit agency serving the beach town of Ocean City in Worcester County, Maryland in the United States. The agency is a division of the town's Public Works Department. Ocean City Transportation offers bus service branded as Beach Bus, trackless train service along the Ocean City Boardwalk known as the Boardwalk Tram, and paratransit service called ADA Para Transit.

Lewes Transit Center

The Lewes Transit Center is a park and ride lot and bus terminal owned by the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) that is located in Five Points near the city of Lewes in Sussex County, Delaware. The transit center serves DART First State buses, with service provided by four local bus routes, three of which operate year-round, with expanded service during the summer months, and one of which operates seasonally during the summer months, serving Sussex County and the Delaware Beaches. The bus terminal also serves two inter-county bus routes that provide year-round service to Dover and summer weekend and holiday service from Wilmington. The Lewes Transit Center opened in 2017.

Bucks County Transport

Buck County Transport (BCT) is a private, non-profit organization that operates transportation services in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. BCT is headquartered in Holicong, Pennsylvania, and operates bus services throughout Bucks County. The organization currently operates a shared ride program, two DART bus lines, and provides discounted transportation for participants of the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) and for disabled persons. In addition, Bucks County Transport operates TMA Bucks' Rushbus services.
