Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is a transit agency serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex of Texas. It operates buses, light rail, commuter rail, and high-occupancy vehicle lanes in Dallas and twelve of its suburbs. DART was created in 1983 to replace a municipal bus system and funded expansion of the region's transit network through a sales tax levied in member cities. DART's light rail system is the longest in the United States, at over 93 miles (149.7 km), and began operation in 1996. At 95,800 weekday boardings, it is also the 6th busiest light rail system in the United States. DART operates the Trinity Railway Express between Dallas and Fort Worth, through an interlocal agreement with Trinity Metro. Delaware Route 273 (DE 273) is a state highway in New Castle County, Delaware. The route runs from Maryland Route 273 (MD 273) at the Maryland border near Newark east to DE 9 and DE 141 in New Castle. The route runs through suburban areas between Newark and New Castle as a multilane road, passing through Ogletown and Christiana. DE 273 intersects DE 896 in downtown Newark; DE 2/DE 72 on the eastern edge of Newark; DE 4 in Ogletown; Interstate 95 (I-95), DE 7, and DE 1 in Christiana; DE 37 in Pleasantville; and DE 58 and U.S. Route 13 (US 13)/US 40 in Hares Corner.
NJ Transit Bus Operations is the bus division of NJ Transit, providing bus service throughout New Jersey along with service along one light rail line, with many routes going to New York City and Philadelphia.
DART First State operates four year-round inter-county bus routes, two of which connect New Castle and Kent counties and two of which connect Kent and Sussex counties. A fifth seasonal inter-county bus route serves the Delaware Beaches from May to September, providing access from New Castle and Kent counties.
DART First State operates nine year-round bus which serve Sussex County. The year-round routes operate Monday-Friday with some Saturday service. Three of the year-round routes are "Flex Routes", where passengers can make reservations for the bus to pick them up within a mile off the fixed route and also flag the bus at any location in designated Flag Zones. DART First State operates six seasonal routes, branded as "Beach Bus", daily from May to September to serve the Delaware Beaches. Four of the year-round routes offer expanded service in the summer as part of the "Beach Bus" program. Bus service in Sussex County is operated under contract by First Transit.

Bus rapid transit in New Jersey comprises limited-stop bus service, exclusive bus lanes (XBL) and bus bypass shoulders (BBS). Under the banner Next Generation Bus New Jersey Transit (NJT), the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), and the metropolitan planning organizations of New Jersey (MPO) which recommend and authorize transportation projects are undertaking the creation of several additional bus rapid transit systems (BRT) in the state. In 2011, NJT announced that it would equip its entire bus fleet with devices for real-time locating, thus creating the basis for "next bus" scheduling information at bus shelters. The introduction and expanded use of bus rapid transit in Garden State is part of worldwide phenomenon to bring mass transit to heavily trafficked corridors in both high and medium density areas as a cost-saving, and sometimes more flexible, alternative to rail transportation, thus reducing automobile dependency and traffic congestion.
The Metro Arlington Xpress (MAX) was a public transit system serving Arlington, Texas, part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. MAX consisted of a single bus route that connected CentrePort/DFW Airport station on the Trinity Railway Express to downtown Arlington and the University of Texas at Arlington campus. The service was operated by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and funded by the city of Arlington. The pilot program started in August 2013 and was replaced by a ride-sharing service in December 2017.

The park and ride serves DART First State buses, with service provided by 9 local bus routes serving New Castle County and two inter-county bus routes that provide service to Dover and seasonal service to Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.
The Dover Transit Center is a park and ride lot and bus terminal located in the city of Dover in Kent County, Delaware. The transit center serves DART First State buses, with service provided by eight local bus routes serving Dover and Kent County and four inter-county bus routes that provide service to Wilmington, Newark, Georgetown, and Lewes. The Dover Transit Center opened in 2010 to replace the Water Street Transfer Center as the main bus terminal for DART First State in Dover.
Cecil Transit is a public transit agency providing bus service in Cecil County in the US state of Maryland. The agency, which is owned by Cecil County, operates fixed-route bus service along five routes serving the Cecil County towns of Elkton, North East, and Perryville along with service to Glasgow and Newark in Delaware. Cecil Transit offers connections to Harford Transit bus service and MARC's Penn Line service in Perryville, DART First State bus service in Glasgow and Newark, and SEPTA Regional Rail's Wilmington/Newark Line service in Newark. The fixed-route service allows for deviations of up to 3⁄4 mile (1.2 km) through advance reservations. The agency also operates a door-to-door demand responsive transport service called Demand Response for the general public, senior citizens, and disabled people.
The Newark Transit Hub is a bus terminal located in the city of Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. The transit hub serves DART First State buses, with service provided by five local bus routes serving New Castle County. In addition to DART First State buses, the Newark Transit Hub also serves Cecil Transit buses providing service to Elkton, Maryland along with UNICITY buses that serve as a community circulator around Newark. The transit hub opened in 2008.
The Lewes Transit Center is a park and ride lot and bus terminal owned by the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) that is located in Five Points near the city of Lewes in Sussex County, Delaware. The transit center serves DART First State buses, with service provided by four local bus routes, three of which operate year-round, with expanded service during the summer months, and one of which operates seasonally during the summer months, serving Sussex County and the Delaware Beaches. The bus terminal also serves two inter-county bus routes that provide year-round service to Dover and summer weekend and holiday service from Wilmington. The Lewes Transit Center opened in 2017.
