DYXX-TV, channel 6, is a commercial VHF television station of Philippine television network GMA Network Inc. It is owned and operated by the network's namesake corporate parent alongside GTV outlet DYKV-TV (channel 28). Its studios is located at the GMA Compound, Phase 5, Alta Tierra Village, MacArthur Drive, Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City, while DYXX-TV's hybrid analog and digital transmitting facility is located at Piña-Tamborong-Alaguisoc Road, Jordan, Guimaras. Since the return of GMA Iloilo as an originating station last August 27, 2018, the operations of GMA Bacolod (TV-13/30 Bacolod and TV-10 Sipalay) was absorbed by GMA Iloilo which led to simulcast One Western Visayas and other regional interstitial, as well as some of the editorial and reportorial staff are employed by the latter. GMA Bacolod was previously an originating station from 2010 to 2015, with its former program Isyu Subong Negrense.

Its original studios were located at the old Manila Jai Alai Building. It was one of the [analog era] TV stations were shut down permanently during the declaration of martial law by President Ferdinand Marcos. Regional TV Weekend News is a Philippine television news broadcasting show broadcast by GMA News TV, GMA Network and GTV. It premiered on July 27, 2019, on GMA News TV and on March 21, 2020, on GMA Network. The show concluded on GMA Network on May 2, 2020. The show aired its last episode on July 24, 2021, to give way for Regional TV News.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Western Visayas is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus reached Western Visayas on March 20, 2020, when the first case of the disease was confirmed in Bacolod. All provinces have at least one confirmed COVID-19 case.

GMA Regional TV Early Edition was a Philippine television news broadcasting show broadcast by GMA Bacolod and GMA Iloilo. Originally hosted by Atty. Sedfrey Cabaluna, Kaitlene Rivilla, and Adrian Prietos, it premiered on August 31, 2020. Adrian Prietos, Zen Quilantang-Sasa and John Sala served as the show's final hosts. The program concluded its final episode on January 26, 2024.
