Daniel Greaves (born 4 October 1982) is a British athlete who specialises in the discus throw.
Greaves was born in Anstey, Leicestershire in 1982. [1]
Greaves won the gold medal in the F44/46 category discus throw at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, establishing a new world record with a throw of 55.12m. [2] He had previously won silver at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney. [3]
Despite being born with a deformity of the feet, Greaves was selected to join the British able-bodied team in a competition against the United States in 2001. [3]
Greaves competed in the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, [4] winning a bronze medal in the F44 discus throw.
He broke the world record again at the pre-IPC World Athletics Championships in New Zealand in January 2011, throwing 59.98m on his fourth throw. [5] [6]
At the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio, Brazil, he won the bronze medal in the F44 Discus Throw. [7]
He won Bronze at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo. In doing so he became the first British track and field athlete to win medals at six consecutive Paralympic Games. [8] [9]
At the 2021 para-athletics European championships, Dan won the silver medal in the F64 Discus Throw.
At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Dan came 4th in the F42/44 Discus Throw. [10]
At the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships, Dan won a bronze medal in the F44 Discus Throw. [11]
Dan was selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, aiming for his 7th Paralympic medal. [12] [13] He came 6th in the F64 Discus throw. [14]
Stephen James Miller MBE is a British athlete who competes in the fields of Paralympic club and discus throwing. He has won three gold, one silver, and one bronze medal in the F32/51 club throw at the Paralympics. In Paralympic F32/51 discus he won one bronze medal.
The 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships was held in Christchurch, New Zealand from January 21 to 30, 2011. Athletes with disabilities competed, and the Championships were a qualifying event for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Michaela Floeth is a former para-athlete from Germany who competed predominantly in F44 category shot put events.
Katherine Proudfoot is a cerebral palsy athlete from Australia competing mainly in throwing events. She competed in the F36 classification at the 2008, 2012 and the 2016 Summer Paralympics, winning medals at each Game. Following a medical review request in early 2017, she now competes in seated throws in the F32 classification. At the 2017 Australian Athletics Championships she threw 7.04m in the Women's Shot Put Secured event, bettering the Women's F32 shot put world record mark of 6.55m.

Hollie Beth Arnold, is a British parasport athlete competing in category F46 javelin. Although born in Grimsby, she now lives and trains in Loughborough. She represents Wales in the Commonwealth Games.
Aled Siôn Davies is a British Paralympian athlete competing mainly in category F42 throwing events. In 2012 he became the world record holder of the F42 shot put and in the 2012 Summer Paralympics he took the bronze medal in shot put and gold in the discus. In 2013 Davies took the World Championship gold in both the shot put and discus in Lyon. He won double gold in his home country at the 2014 IPC Athletics European Championships in the shot put and discus. Daniel West is a British Paralympian track and field athlete competing mainly in category F34 throwing events. He has represented Great Britain in four Paralympic Games and has qualified for the team for a fifth time at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. West has two bronze Paralympic medals and one silver, all in the shot put, and has medalled in the IPC World Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
Sophie Megan Hahn, is a parasport athlete from England competing mainly in T38 sprint events. In 2013, she qualified for the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships, selected for the T38 100m and 200m. She took the gold in the 100m sprint, setting a new world record.

Sarah Edmiston is an Australian Paralympic athlete who specialises in the discus and shot put. At her first major international competition, she won the bronze medal in the Women's Discus F44 at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships and followed this up with a silver medal in the same event at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. She also won the bronze medal in the Women's Discus F64 at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and competed at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Akeem Stewart is a Trinidad and Tobago Paralympic athlete with F43 disability classification. He competes in discus throw, javelin throw and shot put events.
Mauricio Valencia is a Colombian Paralympic athlete with cerebral palsy. He represented Colombia at the Summer Paralympics in 2012, 2016 and 2021. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics, he won two medals: the gold medal in the men's javelin throw F34 event and the bronze medal in the men's shot put F34 event. In 2021, he won the silver medal in the men's javelin throw F34 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
Michal Burian is a Czech-born Australian Paralympic javelin thrower. He won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Two years later, he secured another silver medal at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships. In both competitions, his achievements were clinched during the final round with a clutch throw, proving Burian's ability to perform under pressure.
