Dancing with the Stars returned for a fourth series which began on 5 January 2020 on RTÉ One. [1]

Nicky Byrne and Jennifer Zamparelli returned as hosts for a fourth and second series, respectively. The spinoff show Can't Stop Dancing did not return. [2] [3]

Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Julian Benson returned as judges. [4]

In November 2019 it was confirmed the professional dancers, Curtis Pritchard, Ksenia Zsikhotska, Valeria Milova and Vitali Kozmin would not be returning for this series. [5] They were replaced by Laura Nolan, Kylee Vincent, Pasquale La Rocca and Stephen Vincent. [6] [7] [8]

The final on 15 March 2020 was won by Lottie Ryan alongside professional dancer Pasquale La Rocca. [9]

Couples

On 1 December 2019, Glenda Gilson was announced as the first celebrity to be taking part. [10] The remaining celebrities were announced across the following week.

This week was scheduled to be the semifinal, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced on the day of that it would be the final and the public would crown their winner. [11]

The couples first performed one unlearned dance followed by a trio dance. For the trio dances each couple was joined by one eliminated pro dancer.

Curtis Pritchard is an English dancer and choreographer, known for his role as a professional dancer on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars. In 2019, Pritchard appeared in the fifth series of the British dating reality series Love Island, finishing in fourth place.

Ryan McShane is a Northern Irish dancer and choreographer. He, alongside his professional partner, Ksenia Zsikhotska, were the 2016 United Kingdom & British Latin Professional Champions and British Show Dance Champions. He is also known as being one of the professional dancers on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars.

Giulia Dotta is an Italian dancer and choreographer. She started dancing from an early age specialising in latin and ballroom dance and has had competition experience at both national and international levels. She is best known for being a professional dancer on the Irish series of Dancing with the Stars.

Emily Barker is a British dancer and choreographer. She is a professional dancer on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars.

Laura Nolan is an Irish ballroom dancer and choreographer.

Pasquale La Rocca is an Italian dancer and choreographer. Best known as former Italian Ballroom and Latin Champion, La Rocca joined the second series of the Belgian version of Dancing with the Stars and successively participated in the Irish version of the show and most recently the Italian version, Ballando con le Stelle, which he won for two consecutive years.

Dancing with the Stars returned for a fifth series on 9 January 2022 on RTÉ One. This was the first series in two years after the show was put on a year-long hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dancing with the Stars returned for a sixth series on 8 January 2023 on RTÉ One.

Dancing with the Stars returned for a seventh series on 7 January 2024 on RTÉ One.
