Dancing with the Stars returned for an eighth series on 5 January 2025 on RTÉ One.

On 30 August 2024, RTÉ confirmed that the show would return for an eighth series, with hosts Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy returning for their sixth and third seasons respectively. [1]

On 8 December 2024 it was confirmed that two-time champion, Karen Byrne would join the judging panel for this series, bringing the panel from three to four for the first time ever. [2] On 15 December the professional dancer line-up was confirmed. With Karen Byrne joining the judging panel, Kylee Vincent on maternity leave and Jillian Bromwich and Montel Hewson leaving to focus on their professional dancing careers, four new professional dancers; Alex Vladimirov, Daniela Roze, Maciej Zieba and Rebecca Scott, joined the show. Couples

On 9 December 2024, former Miss Universe Ireland, Aishah Akorede was announced as the first celebrity to take part. [6] Celebrity reveals continued throughout the month until 15 December when Joanna Donnelly was revealed as the final celebrity taking part. [7]

Dancing with the Stars returned for a second series on 7 January 2018 on RTÉ One. Loraine Barry, Brian Redmond and Julian Benson returned to the judging panel for a second year, while Amanda Byram and Nicky Byrne also returned as hosts.

Curtis Pritchard is an English dancer and choreographer, known for his role as a professional dancer on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars. In 2019, Pritchard appeared in the fifth series of the British dating reality series Love Island, finishing in fourth place. In 2021, Pritchard appeared on reality dating show Celebs Go Dating. In 2023, Pritchard competed on Love Island Games. In 2025, he was announced as contestant on series 2 of Love Island: All Stars.

Ryan McShane is a Northern Irish dancer and choreographer. He, alongside his professional partner, Ksenia Zsikhotska, were the 2016 United Kingdom & British Latin Professional Champions and British Show Dance Champions. He is also known as being one of the professional dancers on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars.

Vitali Kozmin is an Estonian dancer and choreographer. He is best known for his role as a professional dancer on Irish and Turkish versions of Dancing with the Stars.

Dancing with the Stars returned for a fourth series which began on 5 January 2020 on RTÉ One.

Laura Nolan is an Irish ballroom dancer and choreographer. She is best known as a professional dancer on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars, having danced on the show since 2020.

Kylee Vincent is a South African dancer and choreographer. She is a former UK Latin Champion.

Dancing with the Stars returned for a fifth series on 9 January 2022 on RTÉ One. This was the first series in two years after the show was put on a year-long hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ninth series of Dancing with the Stars premiered on 24 April 2022 on Three.
