David Ewart (born March 30, 1969) is the assistant head coach for the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League (NAL). [1]

Contents

College career

Ewart attended Salem International University from 1987 to 1988 playing as an offensive lineman on the Tigers football team before transferring to East Tennessee State University. [2] During his years at East Tennessee State, Ewart was twice named an All-Southern Conference selection and was a Division-1AA All-American selection.

Coaching career

Tampa Bay Storm

Ewart served as an assistant under Tim Marcum for seven seasons with the Tampa Bay Storm, Ewart was named the Storm's 6th Head Coach in team history on February 17, 2011. [3] After two losing seasons, the Storm were putting together a promising 7-4 season in 2013, when quarterback Adrian McPherson was injured. The Storm went on to lose seven straight games to end the season, but still made the playoffs. This was the first time the Storm made the playoffs under Ewart. [4] The Storm lost their first round playoff game, and with the team's eighth straight loss, the Storm fired Ewart. [5]

Arizona Rattlers

Ewart was Arizona Rattlers' defensive coordinator from 2014 to 2016. [6] [7] [8]

Lawrence Samuels American football player and coach (born 1970)

Lawrence 'Law Dogg' Samuels is an arena football coach and former wide receiver/linebacker. He played his college football at the Livingston University, and was an AFL wide receiver/linebacker from 1994 to 2010. He received both his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology and Master of Science degree in education from The University of West Alabama. He was head coach of the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2014 to 2016.

The Spokane Shock were a professional indoor American football team based in Spokane, Washington, that played their home games at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The team was initially a member of arenafootball2 (af2), the Shock won division titles in all four seasons and ArenaCups in 2006 and 2009 before they joined the Arena Football League (AFL) in its 2010 relaunch. The 2013 Tampa Bay Storm season was the 26th season for the franchise in the Arena Football League, and their 22nd in the Tampa Bay area. The team was coached by Dave Ewart and played their home games at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The Storm lost their last seven regular season games but were still able to qualify for the playoffs. However, they were eliminated in the conference semifinals by the Jacksonville Sharks by a score of 69–62.

Tim Marcum was an American football coach, best known for his long and successful career in the Arena Football League. Marcum also served as an assistant coach in the NJCAA, NCAA, United States Football League, World Football League, NFL and the Arena Football League. Marcum head coached in eleven ArenaBowl championship games, winning seven. Marcum was one of two men to win seven ArenaBowls ; and the only man to win seven ArenaBowls as a head coach. He was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 1998. Marcum was one of the most successful coaches in the history of the sport of indoor football, and is considered the greatest coach in the Arena Football League's 32-year history.

Jeffery Tow-Arnett is an American football fullback who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Minnesota where he was a Center. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Milwaukee Mustangs in 2011. Jeffery co-owns Golden Gate Equestrian Center in Jordan Minnesota.

Randy Hippeard is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Winterthur Warriors of Nationalliga A in Switzerland as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at University of Virginia's College at Wise.

The Storm finished the regular season 7–11, and for the second consecutive season, failed to reach the playoffs.

The 2015 Los Angeles Kiss season was the second season for the arena football franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Bob McMillen and played their home games at Honda Center. After a disappointing 0-9 start, the Kiss won four out of their last nine games, including a road upset of the Sabercats, who had entered the game 11-0. Despite the strong finish to improve to 4-14, the Kiss failed to make the playoffs.

Luke Collis American football player (born 1988)

Luke Collis is an American football quarterback for the Georgia Doom of the American Arena League (AAL). He signed with the Spokane Shock as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played college football at the Occidental College after transferring out of University of Nevada, Reno. He has also been a member of the Chicago Rush, Knoxville NightHawks, San Angelo Bandits, Tampa Bay Storm, Philadelphia Soul and Beijing Lions.

Jarvis Williams is an American football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He played college football at the North Carolina State University.
