David Kendziera (born 9 September 1994) is an American Olympic athlete who runs the 400m hurdles and 110m hurdles.

From Mount Prospect, Illinois, he attended Prospect High School and the University of Illinois. Overall he was a 10 time NCAA All-American and 4 time NCAA Championship medalist. [1] Kendzeira finished third at the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships running 49.56. [2] At the 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships he finished third in the 110m hurdles in a time of 13.59, [3] and 7th in the 400m hurdles. [4] At the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships he finished second in the 110m hurdles, [5] and third in the 400m hurdles. [6]

At the 2019 Meeting de Paris he finished sixth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 49.16. [7] At the 2019 Prefontaine Classic he finished fourth in the 400m hurdles in a time of 49.46. [8] In Minsk, Belarus in September 2019 he won the 400m hurdles in The Match Europe v USA. [9]

On September 17, 2020, in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome Kendziera ran 49.35 placing him in the top ten for the year worldwide. [10]

On June 26, 2021, the Mount Prospect, IL native qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in the 400m hurdles after setting a personal record of 48.38 seconds and placing third in the finals at the US Olympic Trials. [11]

On July 29, 2021, Kendziera placed fourth in the 400m hurdles quarterfinals in the Tokyo Olympics and qualified for the semi-finals. [12]

Competing at the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, in Eugene, Oregon, he qualifies for the final and finished seventh in the 400m hurdles. [13]

David Thorn Payne is an American hurdler. He was born in Cincinnati and his family moved to the suburb of Wyoming in Ohio. Payne competed in the 110 and 400 meter hurdles while attending the University of Cincinnati. While at UC, Payne won multiple individual titles in Conference USA and was named Conference USA Outdoor Athlete of the Year while guiding the Bearcats to the C-USA 2004 outdoor title. He set school records for both distances and was a two time NCAA All-American in the 110m hurdles. Payne now resides in Northern Kentucky and trains in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born and raised in Woodland Hills, California and attended Taft High School. After winning the 2011 Outdoor Championships, Anderson had the competed for team USA at the world championships. He also participated in the 2016 Olympic trials in which he finished as a finalist.

Dalilah Muhammad is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 400 meters hurdles. She is the 2016 Rio Olympics champion and 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalist, becoming at the latter the then-second-fastest woman of all time in the event with her personal best of 51.58 seconds. Muhammad was second at both the 2013 and 2017 World Championships to take her first gold in 2019, setting the former world record of 52.16 s. She was the second female 400 m hurdler in history, after Sally Gunnell, to have won the Olympic, World titles and broken the world record. At both the 2019 World Championships and Tokyo Games, she also took gold as part of women's 4 × 400 metres relay team.
