Shelby McEwen OLY [ citation needed ] (born April 6, 1996) is an American track and field athlete who competes in the high jump.
From 2015 to 2017, McEwen attended Northwest Mississippi Community College; he was a member of their basketball team and competed unattached in track and field. He then started competing for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and participated in the indoor and outdoor track seasons in 2018 and 2019. [1]
In 2019, he jumped 2.31 m indoor and then 2.30 m outdoor, as second at 2019 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, qualifying for the 2019 World Championships in Doha, where he was the first non-qualifier for the final.
On May 22, 2021, he jumped 2.33 m at Roy P. Drachman Stadium, Tucson, Arizona, the qualifying standard for the 2020 Summer Games, before finishing third with 2.30 m at the 2020 US Olympic Trials. He finished twelfth at the 2020 Summer Olympics with a jump of 2.27 m. [2]
At the 2024 Summer Olympics, McEwen jumped 2.36 m and was tied for the lead with New Zealand's Hamish Kerr; both men were offered the option to share the gold medal. Kerr wanted to proceed to a jump-off, and McEwen agreed. McEwen ended up losing to Kerr and got the silver medal. [3]

During his 16-year career, he won 19 national championships. In 1984, Stones became the first athlete to both compete and serve as an announcer at the same Olympics. Since then, he has been a color analyst for all three major networks in the United States and continues to cover track and field on television. He served as an analyst for NBC Sports coverage of Track and Field at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is a member of the US Track Hall of Fame, the California Sports Hall of Fame, the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, and the Orange County Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Holly Bethan Bradshaw is an English track and field athlete who specialises in the pole vault. She used to be the British record holder in the event indoors and outdoors, with clearances of 4.87 metres and 4.90 metres. Bradshaw won a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She also won bronze at the 2012 World Indoor Championships, gold at the 2013 European Indoor Championships, bronze at the 2018 European Championships, and silver at the 2019 European Indoor Championships. Will Claye is an American track and field athlete of Sierra Leonean descent who competes in the long jump and triple jump. He won a bronze medal in 2011 World Championships in Athletics and the gold medals at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships and 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships. In his Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Claye won a bronze medal in long jump and a silver medal in triple jump. He repeated his silver medal in the triple jump four years later. His personal best of 18.14 m, set at the Jim Bush Southern California USATF Championships in Long Beach on June 29, 2019, ranks him as the No. 4 triple jumper of all time.

The men's triple jump competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event was held at the Olympic Stadium on 15–16 August. Forty-seven athletes from 35 nations competed. The event was won by Christian Taylor of the United States, the fifth man to successfully defend Olympic gold in the triple jump. It was the United States' eighth victory in the event. Just as in London four years earlier, Will Claye took silver; the two Americans were the 13th and 14th men to win multiple medals in the event. Dong Bin of China earned bronze, the nation's first medal in the men's triple jump.

Matthew Boling is an American track and field athlete specializing in the sprints and long jump. He won four gold medals at the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships in the 100 m, 200 m, 4 × 100 m relay and 4 × 400 m relay, and helped set world under-20 records in both of the relay races for the United States. He also ran in the semi-final for the American 4 × 400 m relay team at the 2018 World U20 Championships that went on to earn silver in the final. Boling would later go on to win a gold medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in the mixed 4 x 400 m relay, and would help set a world record for the event in the process.
