Tamari Davis (born February 15, 2003) is an American track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter.

Early life

A native of Gainesville, Florida, Davis attended Gainesville High School, and Oak Hall School. On January 30, 2020, at the age of 16, Tamari signed a professional contract with Adidas. [1]

Career

In her sixth race as a professional, in February 2021, she lowered her career best at 60 metres down to 7.18 seconds, at the East Coast Invitational beating an international field including Veronica Campbell-Brown. [2] Davis’ previous best was 7.19 from 2020 which was the world best U18 time. [3]

On July 24, 2020 in Clermont, Florida, Davis ran 100m in 11.15 seconds which placed her 10th on the year list worldwide for 2020. [4]

In 2022, at the US trials, she finished fourth in the 100m. The following year, she improved on that, to finish third overall in the 100m of the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Eugene, Oregon. [5] She was selected for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023, she qualified for the final of the 100 metres and finished in ninth place. [6] [7]

In April 2024, she was selected as part of the American team for the 2024 World Athletics Relays in Nassau, Bahamas. [8] In May 2024, she finished runner-up in the 100 metres at the 2024 Doha Diamond League. [9] On July 12, 2024, she finished second in the 100 metres in 10.99 seconds at the 2024 Herculis Diamond League event in Monaco. [10]

She was included in the a United States relay pool for the 2024 Paris Olympics. [11]

Baker was a dominant competitor over 100 m in the Diamond League circuit in 2018, winning four races and placing no worse than second, including in the final where he also placed second. He was the fastest man in the world in 2017 over 60 m, and the second fastest in 2018 over both 60 m and 100 m. In college he competed for the TCU Horned Frogs, where he was champion over 60 m at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships in both 2015 and 2016. Fredrick Lee Kerley is an American track and field sprinter. He was the Olympic silver medalist over 100 m at the 2020 Olympics and bronze medalist at the 2024 Olympics in the same event. Kerley has earned an additional six medals at the World Championships, most notably 100m gold at the 2022 edition. He has also medalled in the 400m, 4 x 100m relay, and 4 × 400 m relay and won eleven Diamond League races, including two Diamond League finals - the 400m in 2018 and the 100m in 2021.
