Derby is an unincorporated community in St. Francois County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] Derby is located in the Old Lead Belt mining district of southeast Missouri. It is the co-type location of the Derby-Doerun Dolomite, a Cambrian rock unit geologic formation of southeast Missouri. [2] The community lies at the junction of Missouri Route 8 and Missouri Route 32 just south of Elvins. The St. Joe State Park lies adjacent to the community on the east and north. Flat River flows past the west edge of the community. [3]
The community took its name from the Derby Lead Company. [4]
Doe Run is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Routes 221 and B, approximately three miles southwest of Farmington.
Knob Lick is an unincorporated community in southern Saint Francois County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Route DD, just east of U.S. Route 67, approximately eight miles south of Farmington.
Frankclay is an unincorporated community and census-designated places in West Central St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. It is located approximately one mile south of Route 8 about five miles west of Flat River.

The St. Francis River and US Route 67 are on the east side and Doe Run Creek flows past the west and southwest side of the hill. Klondike Hill and Washita Mountain lie to the south.
Gumbo is an unincorporated community in northwestern St. Francois County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is located along Missouri Route 8 between Desloge and Leadwood. The meandering Big River lies to the north.
Harris Branch is a stream in St. Francois County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Flat River.
Indian Creek is a stream in St. Francois County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the St. Francis River.
Klondike Hill is a summit in southern St. Francois County in the U.S. state of Missouri. The summit has an elevation of 1,020 feet (310 m). The broad hill lies about three miles southeast of Doe Run and Doe Run Creek flows past its north and east sides to enter the St. Francis River just southeast of the hill. Wachita Mountain lies adjacent to the southwest. Missouri Route AA traverses across the hill from northeast to southwest.
Libertyville is an unincorporated community in southeastern St. Francois County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is located on Missouri Route DD, east of Knob Lick and north of Mine La Motte. The village is situated at the headwaters of the Little Saint Francis River.
Loughboro is an unincorporated community in St. Francois County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is located on the St. Francis River floodplain along Missouri Route B. Elvins is approximately four miles to the north and Doe Run is about three miles to the south-southeast.
Mineral City is an unincorporated community in southern St. Francois County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community lies on Missouri Route W, southwest of Doe Run. Stono Mountain and the headwaters of Doe Run Creek lie to the west.

Stono Mountain is a summit in St. Francois County in the U.S. state of Missouri. The mountain rises to an elevation of 1,644 feet (501 m). Mineral City lies along the headwaters of Doe Run Creek just to the east on Missouri Route W and Little Stono Mountain lies to the north.
Syenite is an unincorporated community in southern St. Francois County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community lies on Missouri Route DD, west of U.S. Route 67. Knob Lick lies approximately 1.5 miles to the east and the St. Francis River valley is to the north and west. Knob Lick Mountain lies about one mile to the south-southeast.
Wills Branch is a stream in Madison and St. Francois counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Little St. Francis River.
