Iron Mountain Lake is a city in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. The population was 737 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.08 square miles (5.39 km2), of which 1.96 square miles (5.08 km2) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 km2) is water. [4]

As of the census [6] of 2010, there were 737 people, 295 households, and 200 families living in the city. The population density was 376.0 inhabitants per square mile (145.2/km2). There were 367 housing units at an average density of 187.2 per square mile (72.3/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.20% White, 2.17% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.14% from other races, and 1.36% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.90% of the population.
There were 295 households, of which 29.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.8% were married couples living together, 13.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 8.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.2% were non-families. 25.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.95.
The median age in the city was 41.8 years. 22.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.7% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24% were from 25 to 44; 29.9% were from 45 to 64; and 15.6% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 48.8% male and 51.2% female.
