In 2020, Drew & Napier LLC initiated alliances with other law firms in Southeast Asia—Shearn Delamore & Co. from Malaysia and Makarim & Taira S. from Indonesia—to launch a regional network, Drew Network Asia.
The firm was founded in 1889 when Manchester barrister Walter John Napier joined English solicitor Alfred Henry Drew. [6]

Davinder Singh Sachdev s/o Amar Singh is a Singaporean lawyer and former politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he was the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Toa Payoh East division of Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC between 1997 and 2006, and the Toa Payoh division of Toa Payoh GRC between 1988 and 1991.
Philip Antony Jeyaretnam is a Singaporean judge, lawyer and author who has been serving as a Judge of the High Court of Singapore since 1 November 2021, having been first appointed to the Bench as a Judicial Commissioner on 4 January 2021. He has served as President of the Singapore International Commercial Court since 2 January 2023. Prior to his appointment to the Bench, he served as ASEAN chief executive officer and global vice-chair at Dentons. He also served as president of the Law Society of Singapore between 2004 and 2007. Jeyaretnam was also one of the youngest lawyers to be appointed Senior Counsel in 2003 at the age of 38.
The National University of Singapore Faculty of Law is Singapore's oldest law school. NUS Law was initially established in 1956 as the Department of Law in the University of Malaya.
