Ang was appointed a Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore on 15 May 2004,[3] and a year later was elevated to the office of a Judge of the Supreme Court on 15 May 2005.[1][5] He delivered about 170 written judgments,including Ngui Gek Lian Philomene v Chan Kiat (HSR International Realtors Pte. Ltd.,intervener) (2013)[6] in which he held that the S$590-million collective sale of Thomson View Condominium could not proceed because the marketing agent HSR International Realtors had paid some owners of units in the condominium to agree to the sale,thus breaching its duty to avoid a conflict of interest.[2]
Upon reaching the retirement age of 65 years mandated by the Constitution[8] on 25 February 2011,Ang was reappointed as a judge for another three years[9] until he finally retired on 25 February 2014,having served a decade on the Bench.[2] Upon his retirement,Chief JusticeSundaresh Menon said:[1]
I congratulate Andrew on a remarkable career in the law. Over the course of forty-three years, he has been an academic, a private practitioner and a Judge of the Supreme Court. When he was appointed to the Bench, he brought with him the experience of three decades of practice. By then he was one of the country's leading corporate and tax lawyers. It has been a pleasure for me to work with Andrew as a colleague on the Bench. I thank him for the generous and warm spirit with which he has approached his work and interacted with his fellow Judges and staff of the court and I wish him a long, happy and fulfilling retirement.
Later years
The Straits Times reported in February 2014 that Ang had been invited to rejoin his former law firm, Lee & Lee, as a consultant and would be undertaking arbitration and mediation work.[2]

Philip Antony Jeyaretnam is a Singaporean judge, lawyer and author who has been serving as a Judge of the High Court of Singapore since 1 November 2021, having been first appointed to the Bench as a Judicial Commissioner on 4 January 2021. He has served as President of the Singapore International Commercial Court since 2 January 2023. Prior to his appointment to the Bench, he served as ASEAN chief executive officer and global vice-chair at Dentons. He also served as president of the Law Society of Singapore between 2004 and 2007. Jeyaretnam was also one of the youngest lawyers to be appointed Senior Counsel in 2003 at the age of 38.
The Supreme Court of Singapore is a set of courts in Singapore, comprising the Court of Appeal and the High Court. It hears both civil and criminal matters. The Court of Appeal hears both civil and criminal appeals from the High Court. The Court of Appeal may also decide a point of law reserved for its decision by the High Court, as well as any point of law of public interest arising in the course of an appeal from a court subordinate to the High Court, which has been reserved by the High Court for decision of the Court of Appeal.

Tan Lee Meng is a professor in the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. He was first appointed as a Judicial Commissioner on 2 February 1997, and then appointed Judge in August 1997, serving until he reached the mandatory retirement age of 65 on 7 July 2013. In August 2012, he was appointed the inaugural chairman of Singapore's new Media Literacy Council.

Thirugnana Sampanthar Sinnathuray, known professionally as T. S. Sinnathuray and to his friends as Sam Sinnathuray, was a judge of the High Court of Singapore. Educated at University College London and called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn, he practised for a few years in a law firm before beginning a career with the Singapore Legal Service, serving with the Attorney-General's Chambers as Crown Counsel and deputy public prosecutor (1960–1963), and senior state counsel (1966–1967); with the Subordinate Courts as a magistrate (1956–1959), first district judge (1967–1970), and senior district judge (1971–1978); and with the Supreme Court as deputy registrar and sheriff (1959–1960), and registrar (1963–1966). In 1978 he was elevated to the office of Judge of the High Court of Singapore, and served until his retirement in 1997.
Choor Singh Sidhu, known professionally as Choor Singh, was a Singaporean lawyer who served as a judge of the Supreme Court of Singapore and, particularly after his retirement from the bench, a philanthropist and writer of books about Sikhism. Born to a family of modest means in Punjab, India, he came to Singapore at four years of age. He completed his secondary education in the top class at Raffles Institution in 1929, then worked as a clerk in a law firm before becoming a civil servant in the Official Assignee's office.
Kasinather SaunthararajahPBMSC, known professionally as K. S. Rajah, was a Senior Counsel and Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Born in Penang, he came to Singapore in 1950 and worked as a teacher before embarking on part-time law studies at what was later known as the University of Singapore, graduating in 1963 with a Bachelor of Laws with honours. He then spent the next 22 years with the Singapore Legal Service, eventually heading the civil and criminal divisions of the Attorney-General's Chambers and also serving as Director of the Singapore Legal Aid Bureau and head of the Official Assignee and Public Trustee's Office. In 1985 he retired from the Legal Service and went into private practice, establishing the firm of B. Rao & K. S. Rajah.
Tan Boon Teik was a Singaporean judge who served as the second attorney-general of Singapore between 1969 and 1992. At the age of 39, Tan was the youngest person to be appointed as attorney-general, and was the longest-serving attorney-general after the Independence of Singapore, after 25 years in office.
Nadesan Ganesan, PBM was a chairman of the Football Association of Singapore. He served as FAS vice-chairman for two years before he was appointed chairman on 31 March 1976, and was a vice-president of the Asian Football Confederation. He stepped down as FAS chairman in 1982. He was a criminal lawyer by trade.
