EasyJet Europe Airline GmbH, trading as easyJet, is a European low-cost airline founded in 2017 and based in Vienna, Austria. It operates scheduled flights across Europe and is a subsidiary of EasyJet plc.

The airline was established on 18 July 2017 and started operations on 20 July 2017, with the first flight being an Airbus A320 (re-registered as OE-IVA, previously G-EZPA) flying from London Luton Airport to Vienna International Airport. [4] The airline was established following the UK referendum vote to leave the European Union and the airline's decision to obtain an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) in another EU member state in order to continue operating flights across and within European countries after the UK leaves the EU.
Many aircraft currently registered to EasyJet UK will be reregistered to EasyJet Europe, and those staff employed by EasyJet UK but based elsewhere in the European Union will be transferred to EasyJet Europe. EasyJet has announced that it is planning to re-register 110 aircraft to fly under the new AOC of EasyJet Europe by March 2019. [5]
EasyJet is thus a pan-European airline group with three airlines based in the UK, Austria and Switzerland (EasyJet UK, EasyJet Europe, and EasyJet Switzerland), all owned or part-owned by EasyJet plc, based in the UK and listed on the London Stock Exchange. [6]
On 30 March 2019, flights became operated by EasyJet Europe under their own flight numbers and callsign. [7]
EasyJet Europe operates in conjunction with the other EasyJet-branded airlines.

Jet2.com Limited is a British low-cost leisure airline offering scheduled and charter flights from the United Kingdom. As of 2022, it is the third-largest scheduled airline in the UK, behind easyJet and British Airways. Jet2 is also officially the largest tour operator in the UK after overtaking TUI in 2023. Its headquarters are located at Leeds Bradford Airport. Further bases are at Belfast–International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London–Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle airports, with a base at Bournemouth starting in April 2025. In the years following, its aircraft were gradually transferred to Swedish sister airline Norwegian Air Sweden and its parent company, until the last of its aircraft were transferred by April 2021, with its operations also taken over by the Swedish airline.

Lauda, legally Laudamotion GmbH, was an Austrian low-cost airline based in Concorde Business Park in Schwechat, near Vienna, Austria. It has been a subsidiary of Ryanair Holdings since 2018, as are Ryanair DAC, Ryanair UK, Malta Air and Buzz. Former Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda had a minority stake in Amira Air before buying it outright in 2016.
EasyJet UK Limited, trading as easyJet, is a British low-cost airline and a subsidiary of EasyJet plc. It was founded in 2017, after the UK Government triggered Article 50 to leave the European Union.
