Elinda binti Haji C.A. Mohammad is a retired politician and lawyer from Brunei who previously served as the Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) from 2018 to 2020, and Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the same tenure. [1]
In 1988, Elinda graduated with honours from the University of London in the United Kingdom with an LL.B. in law. In 1988, she began her career in the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Government of Brunei. Her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) was awarded by the University of Malaya in 1995. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam as an advocate and solicitor in 1997, and she continued to practice till 31 December 2005. She began working in the ACB in 2006, where she handled legal and foreign affairs. [1]
She was appointed on 3 November 2012, to serve as a Senior Special Duties Officer (Security, Law, and Welfare) in the Ministry of Home Affairs. [1] She was appointed as the PMO's Permanent Secretary (Law & Welfare) and Director of ACB on 2 November 2017. [2] [3] She was appointed as the Deputy Minister of the PMO on 30 January 2018. [1] [4] The Sultan appointed Elinda and Romaizah, two women, to ministerial posts during the reorganization. Her position as director of the ACB may provide insight into the true cause of the Sultan's unannounced reorganisation. [5]
According to Elinda, Brunei has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to bolstering extra-regional and regional cooperation in the fight against transnational drug law with other ASEAN members. In her remarks during the 2018 Hanoi, Vietnam, 6th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters (AMMD), she emphasised Brunei's implementation of a zero-tolerance policy for a drug-free nation, noting that it had yielded positive outcomes. Brunei adopted an approach to drug policy that involved the entire government and the entire country. [6]
During the 62nd Commission of Narcotic Drugs (CND) in Vienna on 14 March 2019, she stated that Brunei has a comprehensive policy that addresses drug usage in particular and encompasses national security, health, and socioeconomic development. The nation recognises the need to bolster regulations in response to the worldwide rise in drug abuse, even as it attempts to retain control over the local drug problem. Public awareness campaigns are part of the approach, with a focus on informing the public about the possible risks associated with herbal products. In line with ASEAN's objective for a Drug-Free ASEAN, Brunei is committed to regional and global collaboration to combat transnational drug offenses. With a concerted effort against illicit drugs for a Drug-Free community at the national, regional, and international levels, the commitment to international collaboration is stressed in order to confront the mounting problems of the global and regional drug situation. This notice complies with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah's directive and states that, as of 18 January 2020, Elinda's services are no longer needed for her role as director of the ACB or as deputy minister in PMO. [8]

Mohamed Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III is a member of the royal family of Brunei. He is the second son of Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei, and Raja Isteri (Queen) Pengiran Anak Damit. After Brunei's independence in 1984, he became the country’s first foreign minister, serving from 1 January 1984 until 22 October 2015, alongside the second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Lim Jock Seng.
Datin Paduka Hajah Salbiah binti Haji Sulaiman is a Bruneian former politician who served as a member of the Legislative Council (LegCo) from 2011 to 2016.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA or MoRA; Malay: Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama, KHEU) is a cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei which is responsible for the propagation of Islam and its upholding as the state religion, as well as oversees the Islamic religious education in the country. It is currently led by a minister and a deputy minister, whereby the incumbents are Badaruddin Othman and Pengiran Mohammad Tashim respectively. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College (SOASC), natively known as Maktab Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien (MSOAS), is a government boys' secondary school in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It is the first secondary school in the country. The school is also one of the only three boys' secondary schools nationwide, with the other two being Muda Hashim Secondary School and Ma'had Islam Brunei. The school provides five years of secondary education leading up to GCE 'O' Level and IGCSE qualification.
Adina binti Othman @ Chua is a Bruneian bureaucrat of Chinese descent whom served as the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports between 2010 and 2015 and was the first woman in Brunei to hold the position of the deputy minister.
Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof is a Bruneian nobleman, military officer, and politician, who currently serves as a Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Defence II. He is a former member of the Legislative Council of Brunei, and previously served as the Minister of Defence II from 2018 to 2022, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports from 2015 to 2018, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), and Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF).
Hayati binti Haji Mohd Salleh is a Bruneian lawyer and the first female Attorney General of Brunei, who served the office from 2009 to 2018. She is also the first female judge in Brunei, as well as the first female High Court Judge in the Supreme Court of Brunei. She is also the first Bruneian Malay woman to be called to the English Bar.
Pengiran Anak Hajah Besar was a member of the royal family as the wife of Pengiran Anak Mohammad Alam and the mother of Pengiran Anak Saleha, the queen consort of Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th Sultan of Brunei.
Datin Paduka Hajah Malai Halimah binti Malai Haji Yusoff is a Bruneian diplomat who has since become the ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Vietnam in 2022. She became Ambassador of Brunei in the Philippines in 2008 and Monaco in 2018.
Erywan bin Haji Mohd. Yusof is the incumbent 2nd Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei and ASEAN's special envoy to Myanmar.
Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh is a Bruneian teacher and education officer that is currently the Minister of Education (MoE) since 2022, the Chairperson of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Council members, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). She previously held the position of Deputy minister and Acting Minister of the same Ministry in 2018.
Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman is the incumbent Minister of Home Affairs (MOHA) in Brunei since 2022, the former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (MoFE), and the chairman of both Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS) and Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB). Datin Paduka Hajah Rakiah binti Haji Abdul Lamit @ Hamid is a Bruneian diplomat who became the resident and non-resident ambassador to France and Monaco respectively since 2023, ambassador to Germany from 2015 to 2022, and high commissioner to Canada from 2008 to 2012.
Mohd Riza bin Haji Mohd Yunos (born May 1967) is a politician and civil servant from Brunei who is the incumbent Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) since 2022. Additionally, he is also the deputy chairman of Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA), and among the directors of Darussalam Assets.
Sufian bin Haji Sabtu is a politician and civil servant from Brunei who is the incumbent Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) since 2022, and the director Internal Security Department (ISD) since 2020. Additionally, he is also the chairman of Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA).
Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Haji Mohamad Taha is a Bruneian diplomat that has been holding the post of high commissioner to India since 2021. He was formerly the permanent representative to the United Nations at Geneva and high commissioner to Malaysia.

Pengiran Anak Idris is a Bruneian nobleman and member of the royal family who became the prince consort to Princess Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam in 1972, the daughter of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III. He is the current Chief of Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara, a member of the Privy Council of Brunei, and assistant chairman of Adat Istiadat Council, and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah's board of governors.
The Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara is a government department under the Prime Minister's Office that functions to guarantee the constant maintenance of Royal Customs. It has been translated literally as the Office of State Customs, the Department of the State Customs or the State Department of Customs and Traditions, even though it does not have an English name. In order to guarantee that the practice and implementation, particularly the Istiadat Diraja, are always in accordance with the philosophy of Melayu Islam Beraja, preaching and teaching the public through lectures, briefings, and workshops on Adat Istiadat (Customs) are regularly held.
