Elise Vanderelst (born 27 January 1998) [1] is a Belgian middle-distance runner. She won the gold medal for the 1500 metres at the 2021 European Indoor Championships [2] [3] and a bronze medal at the 2021 European Cross Country Championships in the Mixed relay with her teammates Vanessa Scaunet, Ruben Verheyden and Stijn Baeten. [4]

Vanderelst represented Belgium at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, competing in the 1500 m event and again at the 2024 Paris Olympics again in the 1500 m event. [5] [6]

She holds 5 Belgian national records in the 1000 metres, indoor & outdoor 1500m and indoor and outdoor Mile.

Vanderelst won 9 national titles indoor & outdoor 1500m indoor 800m and cross country.

His gold in the Men's T46 marathon at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships was held as part of the London Marathon, set a new world record. In 2024, he is the holds the world record in the Men's 1500m T46 with a time of 3:36.51 set in 2017. Roeger competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics in the marathon. He has been selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, Paris,France - his fifth Games - in the Men's 1500 m T46.

He won the 1500m at the 2022 Belgian Athletics Championships, and the same event at the 2021 and 2022 Belgian Indoor Athletics Championships. He also won the 1500 m at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships.

Helena Ponette is a Belgian sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics as a 400 metres runner and as a member of the Belgian women's 4x400 metres and mixed 4x400 metres relay teams. She also participated at multiple World and European Athletics championships, indoor and outdoor, individually and as a member of the 4x400 metres relay teams. She was national champion in the women's 400 metres in 2023.
