Emmanuel Benjamin (born 2 February 1955),nicknamed Benji, [2] is an Indian-born Australian former professional cricketer who played at high levels in Australia,England,and India. He was the second Indian cricketer to play in the Sheffield Shield after Rusi Surti in 1982. [3]
Born in Jullundur, [4] Benjamin toured the British Isles with an India Schools representative side during the 1973 English season,playing six matches alongside future Test player Bharath Reddy and several other future first-class cricketers. [5] After playing for a North Zone schools side in the under-age Cooch Behar Trophy,Benjamin made his first-class debut in October 1973, [6] taking two wickets for a Vazir Sultan Tobacco Colts XI against a Hyderabad Cricket Association XI in the quarter-final of the Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Tournament. [7] A bowling all-rounder,he debuted for Punjab later that month,taking 5/37 on debut against Jammu and Kashmir, [8] and was a regular in Ranji Trophy teams through to the 1977–78 season. [9] His best innings figures also came against Jammu and Kashmir –6/51 in November 1975 to help bowl out the side for 167 in the first innings. [10]
Benjamin spent the 1980 English season playing for Bedfordshire in the Minor Counties Championship,a spell which included half-centuries against Buckinghamshire and Shropshire. [11] [12] His best figures in the competition,6/85,came against Suffolk in both teams' last match of the season,which was not enough to prevent a one-wicket loss after Suffolk's final three batsmen put on 89 runs (including 53 not out from Colin Rutterford). [13]
During the 1981–82 Sheffield Shield season,Benjamin played a single match for Tasmania,bowling 23 overs without taking a wicket. [14] Remaining in Australia,he had a long career for the Ulverstone Cricket Club at grade cricket level, [15] and became a naturalised citizen of Australia in 1991. [16]
A resident of Leith (near Ulverstone),Benjamin unsuccessfully contested the Division of Braddon for the Tasmanian branch of the National Party at the 2014 state election. He received 0.79% of first preference votes,while the party's candidates collectively received 2.16% on first preferences. [17]
Sunil Bandacharya Joshi is an Indian former cricketer and former selector of the India cricket team. He played as an all-rounder who bowled slow left arm spin and batted left-handed. Sunil Joshi was appointed as chief selector of the senior men's cricket team on 4 March 2020. He was a part of the squad which finished as runners-up at the 2000 ICC Champions Trophy.

Rasool was the second cricketer after Mithun Manhas from Jammu and Kashmir to have played in The IPL and the first from the state to play for the Indian National Team in ODI's and T20I's. He played only 1 T20I and 1 ODI in his international career.
The Moin-ud-Dowlah Gold Cup Tournament is an Indian cricket competition that has been held in Hyderabad since the 1930–31 season. From 1930–31 to 1937–38,and from 1962–63 to 1973–74,it had first-class status.
The 1962–63 Ranji Trophy was the 29th season of the Ranji Trophy. Bombay won the title defeating Rajasthan in the final. The tournament was severely impacted by the Chinese Aggression of 1962. Services and Railways pulled out of the tournament after playing one game each. Being so close to the action Assam and Odisha had to pull out of the tournament. When the ceasefire was ordered,the invaders were only a few kilometres away from Tezpur,which was the headquarters of Assam cricket. Bihar played one match and then closed their season as most of their players were employed in firms and factories which were pressed into defence production.

Shubham Khajuria is an Indian cricketer who plays for Jammu and Kashmir cricket team. He is a right-handed opening batsman. He played for the India Under-19 cricket team in 2013,becoming only the second cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to do so. In 2023,he played in great Manchester cricket league for Westhoughton cricket club as their pro scoring 745 runs in 11 league &cup games which included four centuries and two half centuries with an average of 93.13 including a double hundred (212) in his first match and a 37 ball 100 as well breaking the club record.

The 2018–19 Ranji Trophy was the 85th season of the Ranji Trophy,the first-class cricket tournament that took place in India. It was contested by 37 teams,divided into four groups,with ten teams in Group C. The group stage ran from 1 November 2018 to 10 January 2019. The top two teams from Group C progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition.
