Erika Connolly ( née Brown; born August 27, 1998) is an American swimmer. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won two medals.
Brown was born in Modesto, California, in 1998. She attended William A. Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina. While in high school, she was a four-time North Carolina state champion in swimming, winning twice in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay events. Brown then started competing for the University of Tennessee swim team in 2016. [1]
At the 2018 NCAA Division I Championships in March, Brown won two silver medals and one bronze medal. [2] She was named Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Year.
Brown competed at the 2018 World Championships (25 m) in December. She won three gold medals and one silver medal, all on relays. [3]
At the 2019 NCAA Division I Championships in March, Brown won a gold medal and a silver medal. [2] She repeated as SEC Swimmer of the Year.
Brown competed at the 2019 U.S. National Championships in July and August. She won a gold medal in the 50 m freestyle, won a silver medal in the 100 m freestyle, and finished fifth in the 100 m backstroke. [3]
Brown was named SEC Swimmer of the Year for the third straight time in 2020. In May, she graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in kinesiology. [2]
Brown competed at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials in June and July 2021. She won a silver medal in the 100 m freestyle and qualified for the Olympic team. [3]
Later in July, Brown competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She swam in the final of the women's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay and won a bronze medal. She then competed in the 100 m freestyle and made it to the semifinals. In the women's 4 × 100 meter medley relay, Brown swam in the heats, and the American team finished second in the final, earning her a silver medal. [1]
At the 2022 U.S. International Team Trials in April, Brown won a silver medal in the 50 m freestyle and a bronze medal in the 100 m freestyle. [3] She was named to the World Championship team.
In June, Brown married Alec Connolly, a fellow University of Tennessee swimmer. [4]

Brown competed at the US Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis, Indiana. After a series of swim-off's she eventually earned herself a second Olympic berth by way of her 6th place finish in the 100 Freestyle, earning her a spot on the 4 x 100 free relay.

Natalie Anne Coughlin Hall is an American former competition swimmer and twelve-time Olympic medalist. While attending the University of California, Berkeley, she became the first woman ever to swim the 100-meter backstroke in less than one minute. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, she became the first U.S. female athlete in modern Olympic history to win six medals in one Olympiad, and the first woman ever to win a 100-meter backstroke gold in two consecutive Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she earned a bronze medal in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay.
Dana Whitney Vollmer is a former American competition swimmer, five-time Olympic gold medalist, and former world record-holder. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, she won a gold medal as a member of the winning United States team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay that set the world record in the event. Eight years later at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Vollmer set the world record on her way to the gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly, and also won golds in the 4×100-meter medley relay and 4×200-meter freestyle relay. She won three medals including a gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Jill Ann Sterkel is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic champion, former world record-holder, and water polo player. Sterkel won four medals in three Olympic Games spanning twelve years from 1976 through 1988. She was the women's head coach of the Texas Longhorns swimming and diving team at the University of Texas at Austin from 1993 to 2006.

Katerine Savard is a Canadian competitive swimmer who specializes in women's butterfly events and freestyle relay. She holds several Canadian national records in the butterfly over the 50-, 100-, and 200-metre distances in both the short and long courses. Savard also holds the Canadian junior butterfly record in the 200-metre event. She won the gold medal at the 100-metre butterfly event at the 2013 Summer Universiade, held in Kazan. Savard also won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the 100-metre butterfly in Glasgow, where she set the Commonwealth record in the process. At the same games, she won a bronze medal as a member of the women's 4×100-metre medley relay team.
Melanie Margalis is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in the freestyle, breaststroke and individual medley events. Margalis represented the Cali Condors which was part of the International Swimming League. She won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Taylor Madison Ruck is a Canadian competitive swimmer. She won two Olympic bronze medals as part of Canada's women's 4×100 metre and 4×200 metre freestyle relay teams at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Ruck won eight medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. Her eight medal performance of one gold, five silver, and two bronze tied her with three other athletes for the most all-time at a single Commonwealth Games, as well as making her the most decorated Canadian female athlete ever at a single Commonwealth Games. Ruck is the all-time leading medallist at the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships having won nine gold, two silver, and two bronze over the course of the 2015 and 2017 editions.
Javier Carlos Acevedo is a Canadian competitive swimmer. He competes primarily in the backstroke events. Acevedo won two bronze medals at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships as part of both the mixed 4×100 m freestyle relay and the 4×100 m mixed medley relay. He has also won a gold medal at the 2015 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in the 4×100 m mixed freestyle relay and a silver in the 50 m backstroke. Acevado was a former Junior world record holder in the 100 m backstroke event.
Francis Townley Haas is a retired American competitive swimmer who specialized in freestyle events. He is an Olympic gold medalist in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Haas competed collegiately for the University of Texas at Austin from 2015 to 2019 under head coach Eddie Reese where he was a 10-time NCAA Champion, a 17-time All-American, and a 3-time NCAA team champion.
