Escape from L.A. is a 1996 American post-apocalyptic action film co-written, co-scored, and directed by John Carpenter, co-written and produced by Debra Hill and Kurt Russell, with Russell also starring as Snake Plissken. A sequel to Escape from New York (1981), Escape from L.A. co-stars Steve Buscemi, Stacy Keach, Bruce Campbell, Peter Fonda, and Pam Grier. Escape from L.A. failed to meet the studio's expectations at the box office and received polarized reactions from critics. The film later found a strong cult following.

Ian Robertson Underwood is a woodwind and keyboards player, known as a member of the original version of Frank Zappa's band the Mothers of Invention. Following the original band's split in late 1969, Underwood continued to work with Zappa extensively during the 1970s.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is the soundtrack to the 1993 animated superhero film of the same name. Featuring music composed by Shirley Walker, the main composer of Batman: The Animated Series (1992–1995), the film's soundtrack was released by Reprise Records on December 14, 1993. It featured 11 tracks—it also included an original song "I Never Even Told You" was written by Siedah Garrett and Glen Ballard and performed by Tia Carrere; Walker's score accompanied the remainder of it. A limited edition soundtrack released in over 3,000 copies by La-La Land Records on March 24, 2009. It contains the full score, as well as previously unreleased material from Walker's score being included in the album.
