Release history

Halloween (Original 2018 Motion Picture Soundtrack) was first released on Apple Music on October 18, 2018, [14] and received a wide digital and physical release the following day. [15] [16] Sacred Bones Records, in collaboration with Waxwork Records, released the film's digital CD and vinyl soundtracks (under the catalog code SBR-213). [17] The vinyl copies consisted of nearly 25 variants in four pressings, and are available in multi-colored variants in different stores and titles in several regions, pricing from £ 150 ( US$ 205.48) to £ 2,000 ( US$ 2,739.73). [17]

In September 2019, John Carpenter announced the release of the soundtrack's extended edition, which was due for release on October 18, 2019 (nearly a year after the film's release). [18] [19] The soundtrack was released through the online music distribution platform Bandcamp, but not available on other digital platforms. [20] Sacred Bones (under the catalog code SBR-231) and Waxwork Records released the expanded edition in multiple vinyl pressings. [21] [22]

Halloween is an American slasher media franchise that consists of thirteen films, as well as novels, comic books, a video game and other merchandise. The films primarily focus on Michael Myers, who was committed to a sanitarium as a child for the murder of his sister, Judith Myers. Fifteen years later, he escapes to stalk and kill the people of the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois. Michael's killings occur on the holiday of Halloween, on which all of the films primarily take place. Throughout the series various protagonists try to stop Myers including, most notably, babysitter Laurie Strode and psychiatrist Dr. Samuel Loomis. The original Halloween, released in 1978, was written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill—the film's director and producer respectively. The film, itself inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Bob Clark's Black Christmas, is known to have inspired a long line of slasher films.

John Cody Carpenter is an American musician and composer. He is the son of film director John Carpenter and actress Adrienne Barbeau. Carpenter is mostly known for his work with his father and musician Daniel Davies, as well as his various solo projects.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is the soundtrack to the 2019 American monster film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. A sequel to Godzilla (2014), it is the 35th film in the Godzilla franchise, the third film in Legendary's MonsterVerse, and the third Godzilla film to be completely produced by a Hollywood studio. Directed and co-written by Michael Dougherty, the film's musical score is composed by Bear McCreary, the third film composer to work on the MonsterVerse franchise. His involvement in the film was confirmed in July 2018, and recording of the musical score began later that year in Hong Kong. Several themes from Akira Ifukube's musical score for Godzilla (1954), were incorporated and sampled in the score. The soundtrack was released by WaterTower Music on May 24, 2019, a week before the film's theatrical release date. A limited edition triple LP soundtrack was released by Waxwork Records on July 5.

It: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack album to the 2017 American film It. An adaptation of the 1986 novel of the same name by Stephen King, the first of the two-cinematic parts is directed by Andy Muschietti, and featured musical score composed by Benjamin Wallfisch. Wallfisch had influenced several works from film composers, notably John Williams and Alan Silvestri's works, while creating the score for It, and uses orchestral music in order to reflect the period of 1980s setting. A preview of the song list was released by WaterTower Music on August 25, 2017 and the soundtrack album consisting 38 tracks, were digitally released on September 1. A limited edition double LP was released on October 27, that consisted of a 18 tracks in the original score and remaining 29 tracks, that was released separately. The score received positive response from critics, appreaciting Wallfisch for the orchestral approach for the soundtrack.
